An early Mexican Deco silver repousse "mask" brooch, this pieces is wrought in sterling and its maker adorned their portrait with a long, dangling earring. It is evident from the piece's craftsmanship that its creator was well-trained maestro. A fabulous Necklace Set by Sigi Pineda features four separate strands of brushed sterling silver beads which can be combined with one of three different silver and obsidian clasps to create various style necklaces. The beads measure 14 1/2", 15 1/2", 16 1/2" & 17 1/2" long. The clasps measure 7/8" by 1/2", 1" by 5/8" and 2 1/2" by 1 1/2". The largest also has a pin back so it can be worn as a brooch. All clasps are hallmarked. No damage noted...

It's been a very long time since I offered a Mexican clamper bracelet and I am happy to be starting again with a classic Taxco design, this repousse and shadowbox "Quetzalcoatl" example. The maestro who signs it I am familiar with - he worked in Taxco and it seems that clamper bracelets were one of his favorite forms...
