Navajo silversmith Kenneth Begay (1913-1977) was an early innovator and leader in Navajo modern jewelry design. He is known for his clean, bold, modern designs while still influenced by his traditional background. This pair of sterling cuff bracelets are a perfect example. A museum quality oval pendant signed Benevidez (Johnny) and Tim Yazzie Sterling. Possibly a piece by both men who are Santo Domingo/Navajo artists. The Tim Yazzie mark is not typical however if one searches the web, one can find similar pieces created by both men. Silver overlay designs highlight the intricately cut lapis,onyx and turquoise stones. A solid pendant, it measures 3-1/4 x 1-1/2" and weighs a hefty 49gr. An older pair of signed sterling gaspeite earrings with silver inlay. Marked Sterling along with an unknown maker's mark that is possibly Navajo. The larger butterfly backs are new. The earrings measure 1-3/8" x 1/2" ( bottom width) and are unpolished.

Magnificent handmade sterling cuff with precise fine line chiseling by Navajo Sam Roanhorse (1916-1988). He was the brother of Ambrose Roanhorse, who he studied with, and also worked for the White Hogan Shop from 1951-52. His work is rare to find and highly collectible. This cuff measures 5 1/2" around in the inside plus an additional 1 1/4" opening. Weighing 89 grams, it is in fine original condition and signed as shown. An exquisite piece of exceptional quality and craftsmanship.

This simple yet sturdy bar pin is unmarked but likely Native American from the 1950s or 1960s. It has a warm patina from age(although a cleaning after the photography has brightened the surface a bit) and its design is well detailed. A secure rollover clasp may have been added later to replace a C-clasp. It tests for sterling silver and measures 2 inches long by just under 3/4 inch at its widest part. Weight: 11.1 grams
