Here are two charming sterling silver scatter pins formed as ladies’ heads complete with bonnets and flowing hair. They are typical of the highly detailed cast work of Unger Bros., of Newark, NJ, during the Art Nouveau period. Both have secure C-clasps; one looks to have been replaced, perhaps during the 1920s. The fine features are intact and the maker’s mark well struck. Each pin measures 3/4 inch long by 5/8 inch wide. 4.4 grams total

A sterling silver Connemara marble shamrock Pin. This Edwardian circa 1900 brooch measures 1-3/4" x 1/2". This Edwardian period pin has the original c-clasp and it is stamped simply SILVER with a maker's stamp we can't decipher. The stone appears a bit yellow in our photo, but that is a photo artifact, it is a definite green in person. It weighs 2.4 grams, and it is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs...

This sweet brooch depicts two adorable cupids, a boy and a girl, looking serene and loving. Their plique a jour (translucent enamel) wings are a pale purple or mauve color, nicely complimenting the 900 silver. The girl is wearing a tiny necklace of roses. The pin measures 1” x 1-3/4” and weighs 5.7g. The clasp might be a replacement, but the rest is all original, and the pin is in excellent antique condition...

This Scottish agate pin is in the shape of a dagger. The Victorians called them dirks. It is hallmarked sterling.

A 19th century Scottish sterling silver banded agate pebble buckle brooch pin. From the early to mid-Victorian era, this large and dramatic pin measures 2-7/8 x 2-1/2". A lovely early 19th century sterling silver & paste belt buckle. This 2-7/8" x 1-3/8" buckle features antique hand cut clear paste stones, and the central pinion hinged section swings either way, with three teeth to hold the belt opening and the section that holds the belt end has three shallower teeth to secure the other end of the belt. They are both secured to the centre of the belt but are made so each moves independently of the other...

Kerr sterling belt in Victorian style with cherubs, c.1890. The buckle is a bouquet and lattice design measuring 3" by 2 3/4" and clips on to the last link. There are 17 links each measuring 1 3/8" by 1 1/4". The design is a smaller version of the buckle except that on EACH of the four corners there is a cherub's head(hence 68). The length of the belt is 30 3/4" and is signed "STERLING #2 KERR mark(hatchet w/x's)"...

A superb American silver locket and chain necklace from the Victorian era. The book chain is enhanced with three rows of lapidary-cut silver balls. The locket’s cover is decorated with an engraved scene of an egret, bamboo, reeds and a fan in the Japonaise style popular during the Aesthetic period. The interior retains the original frames on either side. The chain can be worn without the locket as a 17” necklace or, with the drop chain in place at the back, as a 19-1/4” necklace...

There are no hallmarks on the pin bit it has been tested silver. The pin has a c-clasp in working condition but it may not be original.

A large sterling silver locket from the Aesthetic Period, the cover decorated with an engraved Japonaiserie scene of a water bird landing among reeds. The bird is surrounded by a fan-shaped reserve. The ends of the locket are nicely enhanced with beading and a fancy border. The interior retains both original frames and glass enclosing either fabric. The back is unadorned. This sterling silver buckle features translucent (plique a jour) enamel in a floral motif. These sash buckles with plique are quite unusual. The enamel is red, green, and two shades of blue. It is signed with a “JK” above another “JK” in a box. There are marks for London, 1886, and a duty mark. Measuring 3-1/8” x 2-1/4", it weighs 32.7g or 1.16 oz. It is in very good condition.
