This Los Castillo is an early design 592 and crafted when Margot Van Voorhies was married to Antonio Castillo. This is not for the faint of heart with a .5in. depth, 21 inches long and 1.25in. tall. Showing further quality is the weight of 183 grams. It displays a naturally darkened patina. I have showed a picture of the well working clasp as it is old in style and almost invisible. Love this on, just LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE!

Extremely unusual sterling hinged cuff bracelet showing HAWAII theme with half-nude woman HULA DANCER and UKELELE beautifully etched. It opens perfectly(see photo #2) and measures 7" closed but can fit a larger wrist as well. Hula dancer part measures 5/8" wide. Bracelet is signed "STERLING S.R.S.CO. A fabulous Italian Deco (if not a little earlier even!) silver charm / pendant in the Peruzzi style, this piece is big and opens up to reveal a hidden compartment. Usually referred to as "trunk" charms, baubles like this in the Etruscan style can be seen hanging off bracelets or worn with vintage chains as necklaces. I love the detail and profuse ornamentation of the "sphere" at hand with its row of red coral cabs adding a splash of color to the beautifully aged silver-work...

Lushly designed floral sterling and amethyst pin sold by Sanborn's and possibly made by Fred Davis who managed and designed for the store from 1947 through the early 50's, Mexico, c.1950. Pin is signed "bellmark 22", which was Sanborn's number. It measures 2 1/8" long by 1" wide. Excellent condition except that pin was probably changed with lead solder. Very evocative of the Arts and Crafts style but most probably made in the 1940s, this elegant sterling silver ring is adorned with a pearlescent purple moonglow lucite “stone”. This type of luxurious plastic was very popular in the 1940s and extensively used in the world of costume jewelry so I think it’s an exciting surprise to find a sterling ring set with it. Please note the detail in the layers of leaves that form the shoulders, the tiny lozenges and linear designs enhancing the bezel...

Though it is not uncommon to find Mexican silver fur pins, it is usually single pieces that are available. Here, however, there is a pair bearing the signature of the Los Castillo in a “bow and flower” design. I am not sure if the workshop ever made a whole parure available in this specific design - I have had the small bow necklace / bracelet sets in the past but this is an enhanced version, with more elements added to the bow and the bow itself bigger and fancier...

This Sterling vermeil with large amethyst colored stone + 5 colored rhinestone stamens is 2 1/2" square. It is in excellent condition.

A Celtic sterling and enamel hammered sash pin brooch from 1946. This 2-1/8 x 2" fully hallmarked brooch features blue, orange and green enameled "stones". It has hallmarks for Chester, England 1946 and it was made by the Wayne Hart Co. (1945-) of Birmingham and Chester. It has a c-clasp and it weighs 11.2 grams.
