Being offered is a rare and fine circa 1963 sterling silver brooch by Sigfrido ‘SIGI’ Pineda of Taxco, Mexico. Modern boomerang design with an oxidized background; and non faceted amethyst stone. Sigi, cousin of Los Castillo founder, Antonio Castillo, spent years working with Los Castillo, Salvador Teran, Felipe Martinez, and Margot de Taxco before opening his own shop in 1952. Dimensions: 2 1/2" x 1 3/8". Marked. In excellent condition.

Early Victoria (c.1940 - #69) 980 silver pin with turquoise showing an amusing dog sticking out his tongue wearing a turquoise collar. It is signed "#69 980 VICTORIA TAXCO MADE IN MEXICO" and is in excellent condition. The pin measures 1 7/8" by 1 1/2" and is of good weight. This interesting bracelet has a rough look to it, with irregular edges and iridescent, highly oxidized surface. The band is pierced as a belt, and is hammered into a strong but flexible construction. The hook clasp is secure and shows no signs of stress. The bangle shows very few signs of wear; it is unsigned and marked as sterling. It measures just under ½ inch wide; inner circumference is 7 inches. The bracelet opens about 1 inch to accommodate the wrist. Weight: 19.3 grams

Danish silversmith Gertrude Engel made this unique, modernist ring. Her signature is found on many Anton Michelsen pieces, along with the AM crown maker’s mark (as she designed for that firm). This ring, however, is solely signed by her (see pictures). The rounded band of heavy gauge silver is 1/2” wide. It has a cluster of 10 bezel set carnelian cabochons. It is signed “Gengel,” in script (her maker’s mark), and “925S” and is in excellent condition. It is about a size 5.

This great 3-piece set (parure, suite) has a modernist design, with leaves swirling into buds. The brooch is also a pendant. It measures 2 1/4" x 1 1/2". It is marked TAXCO HECHO EN MEXICO STERLING 925 Assay Mark 3 and V.A. (for the silversmith). The earrings are screwbacks and measure 1/2" x 1 1/4", marked TAXCO V.A., as well. This 3-piece set is in great condition and has a good heft.

This Antique Victorian Scottish sterling saddle link bracelet is circa pre 1880. The stones have interesting color. The saddle links are very unusual. Excellent condition. No hallmarks. It is very close to 7" inside circumference and 5/8" wide.

This mid-century bracelet is the work of Felipe Martinez, whose Taxco shop was called "Piedra y Plata.

Piedra y Plata opened in 1950 and soon gained a reputation as one of the best silver shops in Taxco...

This textured cuff bracelet features a pocked surface and is decorated with applied half-beads of molded silver. The piece is unmarked, but definitively tests as silver, possibly sterling. Its surface exhibits areas of oxidation, and a couple of areas where the texture didn’t take in the molding process. The bracelet measures 1 ½ inches wide, with an interior circumference of just under 7 inches, including the 1 ¼-inch opening between the terminals. Weight: 52.3 grams

This Eisenberg sterling figural fur clip 2 3/4" square. The leaves and stem are covered in rhinestones. The center stone is 1 5/8" x 1 3/8" and has a yellowish tint to it.

A vintage pair of sterling silver screw back earrings by Victoria Taxco, (Ana Nunez Brilanti), number 449.

Measure 1 1/4" high and 7/8" across. Marked with Victoria Taxco and Mexico on the back of one earring and 449 , Sterling and Eagle #12 on the back of the other.

Fine condition. Screw backs hold securely.
