Rare sterling cuff by modernist Caroline Gleick Rosene, San Francisco, c.1951. It is very difficult to find this silversmith's work. Signed "ROSENE HAND MADE STERLING" and is in excellent condition except for a missing small silver ring that is easily replaceable. Made of heavy gauge silver, it is 1 1/4" wide and is 7 1/2" inside circumference. The larger sides are designed as abstract forms with a pocked layer on a thin, flat surface. The opposite sides are undecorated rectangular panels. They are marked on the bridge bars with Ed Wiener’s name on one side and sterling on the other. The larger sides measure ¾ inch long by 3/8 inch wide. Weight: 14.2 grams total

A modernist sterling silver cuff bracelet by Charles H. Cole, born 1908 and active 1930s-50s. He signed his work with a face hallmark. The facial features spell out his last name. Also signed Sterling and ©. Measures about 6 3/8" around with an opening of 1" and 2 1/4" at the widest. Hand made piece. Thick sterling, heavy and substantial. Looks great on.

A pair of Athena carved lava cameo sterling silver cufflinks from the 1940s or 1950s. This pair measures 3/4 x 3/4" across the finely carved lava rock cameos depicting Athena (or Minverva). The have swing-backs and they are stamped STERLING on the closures and on the backs of the planchets. They weigh 18.0 grams and they are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs...

Reminiscent of Scandinavian style, this bracelet features lovely openwork panels molded with graceful calla lilies. The panels are securely linked with ribbed sterling bands; the back of one panel bears an applied plaque with a patent number of 121373, which was granted in 1940 to Victor Primavera, who founded Danecraft. It has a secure hook clasp. The bracelet measures about 7 ¼ inches long by about 1 inch wide. Weight: 22.9 grams

This sterling silver necklace of faces and fleur-de-lys has a European feel and is designed in the Renaissance Revival style most associated with Peruzzi. It does not bear a maker’s mark, but the spring-ring clasp is marked as sterling, and the various elements test definitively for silver. There is a roughness to the casting, but the lobed beads in between are nicely detailed. It has a twisted multi-link chain. The necklace measures a little over 16 inches long. Weight: 16.3 grams

A delicate strand of graduated sterling beads, it bears the maker’s mark of Binder Bros. Inc., New York. The beads range in size from 3mm to 5mm. The spring-ring clasp is original and in good working order. The necklace measures just over 16 inches long, unclasped. Weight: 15.4 grams

An Eatons sterling marquisite and cultured pearl swirl pin 1950s. This 1-3/4 x 1-3/8" pin has a safety catch, and it is laden with glinting marcasites. This 1950s necklace has a very clean and classic design, and is well constructed with secure, rope-like chain. The central part of the necklace evolves into a thicker but elegantly entwined chain and tapers off toward the ends. It has the original spring-ring clasp. Composed of five connected sterling panels, each decorated with two applied sterling calla lilies and gilded leaves. The flap clasp is very secure, as are all connecting rings; the sterling safety chain has a spring-ring clasp. The flap has an indecipherable mark, possibly for a maker, between the mark for sterling and the mark for gold content: 1/20 10kt G.F. (for gold-filled). The bracelet measures 7 ¼ inches long, including the clasp, and just under 1 ¼ inches wide. Weight: 57.9 grams
