This one is certainly a challenge to describe----but I will give it a go. A mixed media (watercolor, gouache, pastel and gold metallic paint mix) painting, the subject a fantastic, surreal, dream-like scene including a supine male figure with ants on his chest, leopard-like creature, moth, skulls, green, opportunistic poisonous-looking tropical style snake emerging from a woman's body, and bat hanging upside down! This carved lapis lazuli melon shape snuff bottle is 2 ½ inches tall, 1 ¾ inches wide and 1 ¼ inches thick. The artist carved a large melon as the snuff bottle and a smaller melon with leaf and spouts as decoration. The snuff bottle is well hollowed but has some natural flaws. It is in great condition.

Found in Southern California, this is a mixed media (colored markers and pencils) drawing on paper, 23 1/4" by 18", unframed, the subject a stylized seated obese woman. The artist signed her name at lower right and dated the work nearby "04". The name appears to me as "Greta A. Dietrich" or similar, but I do not see a listing under the various possibilities I have investigated---more research might turn up the artist name...

This carved rock crystal snuff bottle is 2 ¾ inches tall, 1 ½ inches wide and 1 ¼ inches thick. It depicts a bird in a lotus pond. The snuff bottle is well hollowed and polished. It has cone shape agate top. The crystal has natural grains and impurities.
