The painting is signed at lower left by the artist and dated there 1981. Etienne is known for mid century drawings of young nudes and clowns, and big eyed children, with French newspaper often incorporated into the image, collage style...

Original signed poster for the Whitney Museum showing of "For Example", a 1972 movie by Shusaku Arakawa (1936-2010), from the Mechanism of Meaning project by Arakawa and Madeline Gins. This framed poster is in excellent framed condition and is signed in pencil lower right by both artists. We also have an original mixed media painting by Arakawa available, from the early sixties. Both pieces come from the same New York estate.

There are some who frame these sculptural hand hammered hand built ceramic clay pieces in a shadow box to hang on their walls.
In a USA studio when the sterling was hand worked and the clay was hand built, it resulted in this studio signed modernist tradition sculpture or neck ring and the kinetic removable pendant to which the semiprecious gemstones of mookaite and red coral were wired in place...

Watercolor and ink marker drawing of Greek buildings by dark blue sea, a boat at right, signed at lower left with signature that appears as "Bremmer". I think this was likely created by an American artist, perhaps painting while on vacation in the Mediterranean. I'd date it as maybe 1980's. It is a pleasant and decorative work that should evoke memories of vacations in the Greek Islands; this could very likely be a view of famous Santorini. Condition is excellent...

Watercolor and gouache drawing of fruits in a bowl, a brass candle stick, knife and flask, 14" by 10", 21" by 15 3/4" as framed, apparently unsigned. This is an accomplished drawing in fine condition by an elusive artist about which there seems to be little to know, FREDERICK MILLSON. This unusual and inventive designed leaf shape snuff bottle is 3 inches tall 2 ½ inches wide and less than 1 inch thick. The color is from beige to burgundy and very well polished and hollowed. It depicts three squirrels chasing each other under grapevine. The workmanship is excellent. The artist Chen Ke uses the natural color of the stone so well, it looks like inlay or overlay work. A twentieth century pastel on paper drawing of white and yellow flowers in a white vase, signed at lower right with what appears as "Raymond" or similar. The work measures 10 1/2" by 8 1/2" inside the present brown mat (16 1/2" by 12 1/2" framed). Found in Los Angeles, the work is on English paper---I suppose it could be English. The hand that created this was talented and it is a lovely little still life.

A small gouache painting of what I believe to be New York's tony upper 5th Avenue area in winter, the view looking south, encompassing the entry to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, skyscrapers filling the distance, 7" by 10 3/4" (13 1/2" by 17" in gold metal frame with double mat). I think it also possible that the scene could be Chicago's Michigan Avenue and the Chicago Art Museum; more research needed. The work is signed at lower left by German-born artist FRANZ BACHELIN (1895-1980)...

This very well carved contemporary snuff bottle is 2 ½” high, 1 5/8” wide and 1” thick. The lighter part was carved as the body of the bottle and darker part was carved into a praying mantis resting on a cucumber. The workmanship is precise and clear. It is well hollowed, polished and in great condition.

The size of work: 12 3/4 x 9 7/8. This is another small Zeka’s work with more abstract forms than other one. This work also has other drawing form on darker area They are intentionally painted with different tone pigment. Again, it is very interesting. It is pained with black paint on Aquarellpappe (thick Wator color paper board)...

For the collector of marine or maritime art and antiques, a color drawing, 12" by 28" with simple 3/4" wood frame, depicting what appears to be a ferry boat of the first part of the century. There's an initial signature at lower right that looks like "HWS" or "AWS". The work is a multi-media piece; it appears that pencil, colored pencil, pastel and even white gouache were part of the mix. The tan paper is thin almost tissue like; it is wrinkled in many spots (see photos)...
