An early 20thC oil on canvas by Rhode Island artist, Emma Lavinia Swan ( 1853-1927). This is an atypical and rare scene since Swan is noted from her floral paintings. It appears to have its original black wood frame. Signed in the lower right hand corner. The canvas measures 9" x 9"; frame 17" x 17". Listed/Davenports.

This is a large work (48" by 42"), signed and dated "68" l.r., also titled ("Spring Awakening") on a typewritten label stapled to the artist-constructed stretcher. It is also titled "Masquerade" on a label which also indicates the original price of the painting ($1250). This painting measures 24" by 30" (29" by 35" in its frame). Original oil painting on canvas by Eugene Szirovecz (American, 1936-2008). This painting is beautifully framed and measures 24" by 36" (painting alone). It is signed and dated l.m. It is offered in excellent condition. Szirovecz was a California artist who specialized in painting the nude. One of three works by this artist currently available. Provenance: estate of the artist.
"Western Hills" oil on board 12" x 16". Henry Martin Gasser was born in Newark, New Jersey on Oct. 31,1909. He lived, studied and worked in New Jersey for his entire life. He was a painter, lecturer, teacher, illustrator and author. A Master at watercolor and oil his work consisted of, in his own words, "everyday subjects that are available to most of us-street scenes, back yards, trees, old houses, etc I looked for them in front of houses, in backyards, public parks, and elsewhere"...
This is a early 19th century portrait of a New York Lady wearing a fur. It appears she is wearing a fur wrap. The oil on canvas portrait measures 26" 21 1/2". The portrait was purchased from the family from Woodstock New York. The name of the lady in the portrait is Mrs. Duenner. We have all the provenance and will advise more later. At this time, I am attributing this portrait to have been done by Sheldon Peck. It is very rare to see fur in paintings...
Robert Brackman (Born Odessa, Russia 1898; Died Roank, CT 1980). “Still Life on White”. Oil on Canvas. Signed Lower Right and on Rear (with title). Dimensions; site 19.5"wide x 15.5"high, with gilt frame 27"wide x 22"high. Brackman studied at the National Academy of Design and was a long time teacher at the Art Students League of NY and elsewhere. His paintings are in many Museum Collections.
This miniature of George Washington was found by an advanced collector in London. We have agreed to research this miniature for the owner. The very American style of painting on ivory miniature measures 42mm x 35mm, and is mounted in its original gold frame. To date, we have sent photos of this miniature to Mount Vernon and to another advance collector in the South. We will advise more as we receive more information on this rare item.

The painting is done in a many layered style which is similar to the style of Albert Pinkham Ryder (1847-1917). It is marked in pencil on the back Ms. Pitts. The painting is marked in the lower right corner with a large capital R. Many of Ryder paintings have been copied; however this would be a very unusual copy. It is a very American Portrait.
