Re Framed fresh landscape signed American original oil painting on canvas depicting redwoods or sequoias- California Pacific Northwest trees in bright burnt sienna and spring green. Bold romantic American modernism approach. Fischer was born in Munich Germany, and came to NY in 1903; he died in Woodstock NY. He studied at the Academie Julien, Paris, 1906-1908. He exhibited in many museums, including the Brandywine River Museum, in PA.

This is a Early 1820 Portrait of U.S Senator William Pinkney (1764-1822)of the state of Maryland. He was a outstanding Maryland Lawyer and was from Annapolis and then Baltimore. Early in our research, the Portrait appears to be in the style of Charles Willson Peale. (1741-1827). The Portrait measures 30" x 24" and is mounted in a new style gold leaf frame.
