An American impressionist coastal seascape painting on the rough side of a Masonite panel, 12" by 16" (19" by 22 1/2" in quality gold frame), signed at lower right by artist Erna Gruenbaum. Oddly, considering the quality, there is no listing of an artist by this name. The painting probably dates to the 1950's or thereabouts. The frame has very light wear but retains its value.
Unframed oil, on canvas painting, unsigned, circa 1920's or 1930's, measuring 25" by 32", the subject a rousing toast among a group of men in traditional eastern European or Russian clothing, a lone woman watching warily in the background. Oil on canvasboard, 16" by 12" (19 1/2" by 15 1/2" as framed), the subject trees in flaming autumn colors along a quiet dirt forest road, signed at lower right "P.L. King", no date but likely circa late 1940's or 1950's. For a time I had thought it possible that this was a work of the noted American impressionist PAUL KING (1867-1947) but I no longer believe that to be the case, so I am offering it as simply an interesting impressionistic landscape...
