Small oil on canvas (9" by 6 1/2", 13"by 10" framed), laid on plywood panel painting of a dark green mountainside, some autumn leaves beginning to appear on two spindly trees, apparently unsigned, circa late 19th century. The painting probably dates to about 1880 but has been laid on the plywood in recent decades (some waxy drips on the plywood as seen). There is some craquelure with a few pinpoint losses.
