A few slight imperfections are present in the frames, but they are very minor. The drawings are in excellent condition.

This is a rather typical work of the noted Bermudian artist ALFRED BIRDSEY (1912-1996), the full sheet affixed to a board measuring 18" by 23 1/2". Birdsey was a familiar figure in Bermuda for decades, a prolific artist, the works of whom traveled home with tourists to the island. This would account for the wide distribution of his distinctive work. Today his daughter continues the family tradition, with similar looking paintings being sold to visitors...

There is a label on the backing from the Fenway Art Center in Boston, which was run by two listed artists, Richard and Giragos Der Garabedian, leading me to believe that this could have been work by one of them, even though the style/subject does not fit with their known works...

The Brazeau River is 130 miles in length and runs in a generally easterly direction from the high Canadian Rockies of Alberta, through the foothills and towards the plains where it merges with the North Saskatchewan River...

Very detailed, complex, good-sized (21" by 15 3/4", 29" by 23 1/4" as framed) ink and watercolor whimsical drawing of a cartoonish scene including Victorian type house, car, old lady pushing shopping cart, cat, bird, dog, -----well, let's say it's hard to describe....just see the images yourself! Each is signed with conjoined initials PB in lower left corner and the artist wrote her address and titles on reverse backing. The works probably date to circa 1980. Pleasing scenes of the classic, peaceful countryside of England...
