A nicely painted watercolor landscape of a farm in autumn, 20" by 14" (29 1/2" by 23 1/2" framed) signed boldly at lower left and stamped there by the artist, LEWIS SUZUKI (1920-2016). In even relatively recent years there was little information on Suzuki, whose fine watercolors seemed to show up in California with some regularity...
A beautiful Egyptian landscape in watercolor depicting an arid scene and people with a beautiful blue sky. The work is signed by unattributed at the moment. Measuring framed 10” x 11” see also 3552
At first glance this might appear to be a print, but it is not: it is an amazingly crafted quite large hyper-real watercolor painting, 29" by 19 3/4" inside the mat, 37 1/2" by 26" framed, signed at lower right by the artist, JAY RATHER. From my internet research, this appears to be a work by the son of Texas artist Herb Rather (1930-), who painted in a similar style, though the online reference mentions Jay as Herb's father, not his son...
A beautiful Mughal or Indian Scene in watercolor with gold highlights measuring 7 x 8 1/2“, frame size 12 x 14“
This is a nicely executed watercolor featuring a red barn and small house apparently in autumn, signed at lower right and dated there 1973 by contemporary artist JOHN S. McFEDRIES. I do not see a listing for the artist but some other works by him can be viewed on the net (and I have a New Mexico watercolor by him in my shop). The painting measures 16" by 22 1/2" inside the mat and (25" by 31 1/2" framed). The painting is in excellent, fresh condition but there is no glass...
Chinese scroll painting by Huang Zhou of two ladies writing on a black board. They are beautifully dressed in traditional garb.
Huang Zhou was born in 1925 in Hebei Province. He is famous for his naturalistic paintings of people and animals. After his schooling, he ventured deep into the border areas of China to paint the ethnic minorities there. The Muslim ladies in this painting are from Kashgar prefecture, southwest of Xinjiang...
Watercolor painting of a harbor scene in New England, 12 3/4" by 18 3/4" inside the mat, 20 1/4" by 26 1/4" in silvery metal framing, signed at lower left in red "J. Stephenson" and dated there '77. This is likely a scene of Maine or Massachusetts, judging from the lobster traps at left on the dock. The artist does not seem to be listed but I have seen other similar works by this hand while traveling in New England...

Watercolor on paper, 10 1/8" by 13 1/4" (15" by 18 1/4" as framed), signed at lower left with the distinctive signature of California Scene artist JAKE LEE. This is an image of a white fountain framed by a balustrade and mature trees. Jake Lee's works are increasingly sought after by collectors in the wake of his relatively recent passing. This is a clean example in excellent condition...
Large opaque watercolor (gouache) of the historic, now highly desirable residential neighborhood known as Corinthian Island, near downtown Tiburon, California, across the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco, signed at lower left by artist A. Simmons, and likely created circa 1960's or 1970's. The work measures 21" by 28 1/2" inside the mat and 30" by 37" nicely framed...

Watercolor, 9 7/8" by 14" inside the mat (16 1/2" by 20 1/2" as framed), signed at lower right "N. White". This is a work showing, no doubt, the clipper ship Joseph Conrad, berthed at the Mystic Seaport in Connecticut. The clipper was built in Denmark in 1882 and was renamed as the Joseph Conrad. It was built strictly as a training ship...
An American watercolor titled “ The Henry B Hyde Entering The Golden Gate” Watercolor 20” x 24”
Watercolor on quality watercolor heavy paper, 14 3/4" by 20" (18 3/4" by 24" as framed), the scenes a tropical street with historic old wood houses, likely Key West, Florida, and another street scene with a lone figure, signed in pencil at lower right something like "Meish...." or "Weish....."; I cannot decipher the name. The aritist probably created this in the 1960's or 1970's, and he or she was skilled with watercolor. The brush strokes are brisk but expertly placed. Condition is excellent...

Watercolor on paper painting of the famous belfry towers and facade of the St. Louis Cathedral on Jackson Square in New Orleans, Louisiana, possibly signed at lower right (illegible), 10 1/4" by 7 1/2" inside the mat, 16" by 10" framed, circa 1960's or 1970's I believe. The work is framed in an old, beveled dark oak quality frame that likely considerably pre-dates the art. When framed, someone wrote the title "St. Louis Cathedral, New Orleans" on the mat below the image. Condition is excellen...
