Lester George Hornby 1882-1956 American This is an original color aquatint etching by American artist Lester George Hornby. The title is "Le Fete a Pantin", it was created and printed in 1911 in an edition of 25. The image measures 9 3/4X14 5/8 inches. This etching is hand signed in pencil lower right and printed on a medium weight laid type paper.

A very fine original etching by American artist Stephen Parrish, this image is one of three images Parrish created of Chester, a small walled town near Liverpool, England. The image size is 9 1/4 x 7 3/8 inches, 1884, state I/II, before the remarque in the lower margin, cat: Schneider- 107, pencil signed.

Published in 1914 in an edition of 200 it measures 12 1/4 x 14 1/2 inches. Pencil signed on the l.r. with a watermark on the l.l.

David Y. Cameron 1865-1945 British This is an original pencil signed etching by British artist David Young Cameron. It is titled: A Dutch Farm, art of his North Holland Set. This etching was created and printed in 1892. The image measures 4 5/16 X 8 15/16 inches.Printed on an early laid type sheet with collectors stamp lower corner of the border. This etching came to us with 1/8 inch margins on three sides.

Original etching by Maurice de Vlaminck (France, 1876-1958). Circa 1937. From the Paris 1937 portfolio which included works by Matisse, Gromaire, Vlaminck, Derain, Dufy, Laurencin, Bonnard, Kisling, Dunoyer de Segonzac, etc. Signed in the plate. Currently framed in a mid-century period frame. Good condition.

Aloys Wachelmayr, Austrian, 1892-1940, "The Guitar Player," etching, pencil signed, image size is 6 x 7 3/8 inches on 9 3/4 x 14 3/4 inches wove-type paper. Circa 1917.

Plate signed etching, 13" by 10 1/4" inside the mat, the sheet 16" by 13 3/4", titled "Rue de la Glaciere", 1937, by the famous and important French modern artist MAURICE de VLAMINCK (1876-1958). The original edition is given as 400 or 500 examples; later restrikes might exist. I do not know if this might be one of them. The paper is very thin and delicate and appears ribbed as would laid style paper. I do not see any watermarks...

Biography Samuel Arlent Edwards was born in 1862 in Somerset, England. He studied art and architecture at the Kensington Museum Art School from 1877 to 1881, and then continued studies in engraving with Appleton, Josey & Alais in London. He achieved early success in making mezzotint reproductions of well-known paintings, a path he was to follow all his life...

Oversized Chinese copperplate etching of two large white birds with prominent beaks (possibly two albatrosses) by Wu Wulong (b. 1956) titled "Under the Moon." The print is pencil-signed and titled in Chinese, dated 1986, and numbered 18/20 in the large bottom margin. Paper: 24" x 19 1/2" (image: 17 1/4" x 17 1/8"). Very good overall condition. There are a few pin holes in the upper margin. Some faint spotting and soiling is visible on the white birds, in the margins, and on the back...
