Drypoint etching print "Chattes" (Cats) published in Paris in the year 1909 by Gustave Pellet, 8 3/4" by 12 1/4" inside the inner fillet, 17 3/4" by 21 3/4" as nicely framed, numbered in pencil 38/50 (and faint red cypher stamp) at lower right margin, and pencil signed by the artist at lower center right margin. There is a crease in each lower corner that I believe likely dates to the time of printing, and there are a few foxing spots, but the overall appearance is excellent...

The work is numbered 23/25 at lower right margin. The name being common, there are a number of listed artists that might correspond to this. An unusual and difficult to photograph trio: two heavy copper etching plates and one tin or zinc lithograph plate, the latter signed clearly Emil Kosa Jr., and one of the copper plates signed with reverse-etched conjoined initials that spell out EK and probably also "Jr". Etching, 4 3/4" by 6 5/8" inside the mat, 10" by 12 1/2" in simple black strip frame, titled in pencil at left margin "A Bermuda Lane" and signed in margin in pencil at lower right by artist RAY ALLEN. I do not see a listing for an artist of this name. The work likely dates to about the 1950's I would think, and is probably still in its original frame. The impression is strong, with a distinct plate mark. Disregard false yellow colors in some of the photos, which are an effect of the camera....

A PAIR of old engravings from the Passion of Christ series of 14, engraved originally in 1521 by Dutch old master engraver LUCAS VAN LEYDEN (1494-1533). My research leads me to believe these two are apparently later impressions printed on wove rather than laid paper, by noted Flemish engraver Jan Harmansz Muller (1571-1628).
