Original etching on BFK Rives paper, "Issachar", from the Twelve Tribes of Israel series, 1973, signed by the artist SALVADOR DALI (1904-1989) at lower right margin and numbered 21/195 at lower left. The work is generally clean and comes with quality gold leaf framing, but no glass. There is slight oxidation within the mat opening. Print is taped at top edge only. Measurements are 22 1/2" by 15 1/2" inside the mat; sheet measures 25 1/2" by 19 3/4"; and finally, 32" by 25" framed.
Nineteenth century print of a scene including palace and figures strolling, titled in white gouache (by hand) "Florence" at lower center, the color throughout hand applied by a talented artist. This very nearly resembles a drawing rather than a print. Measurements 6 1/4" by 9 1/2" (14" by 18 3/4" in wood frame). The print was trimmed tight to the margin, then laid on a neutral gray/green background, and a white border was then hand applied...

Bacher along with a group of pupils of Frank Duveneck followed him to Florance and Venice to be with him for the summer. It was there that Bacher met and worked with Whistler. The image measures 4 1/2X 12 3/8 inches...
Original, very scarce (edition of 30?) unframed 1909 etching known as "Pittsburgh, no. II", signed at lower right center in pencil by the important American etcher, illustrator, critic, author and teacher JOSEPH PENNELL (1857-1926). Evidently, Pennell himself printed this particular example as "imp" is written after his name. The sheet, heavily trimmed at three sides as seen, measures 9" by 12"...

Etching on paper, 11 3/4" by 13 1/2" as simply framed, the scene silhouetted ships in the harbor, the rising sun and new day ahead suggested by etched lines in the sky, pencil titled at margin "Dawn Portland Harbor" and signed at lower right and dated there 1915. The artist, Massachusetts-born PHILIP LITTLE (1857-1942) was a highly regarded impressionist American painter and etcher, an artist who had a truly American vision as he was not educated in Europe...

Plate signed etching, 13" by 10 1/4" inside the mat, the sheet 16" by 13 3/4", titled "Rue de la Glaciere", 1937, by the famous and important French modern artist MAURICE de VLAMINCK (1876-1958). The original edition is given as 400 or 500 examples; later restrikes might exist. I do not know if this might be one of them. The paper is very thin and delicate and appears ribbed as would laid style paper. I do not see any watermarks...
Etching of children in a landscape, 8 1/4" by 10 3/4" inside the present mat (the full sheet 14 1/2" by 17"), not signed but printed information on mat provides artist name, a possible title "Hagyateki Anyaga" and possible edition ("5/50"). The artist is ISTVAN SZONYI (1894-1960). A student of Karoly Ferenczy at the Academy of Fine Arts in 1913, he had early exposure to the art colony at Nagybanya and its prominent and gifted figures, including greats such as Vilmos Aba Novak...

Etching of the famous Chicago River surrounded by the classic skyscrapers, signed in the plate and dated 1927 at lower right, by the listed artist OTTO J. SCHNEIDER (1875-1946). The print does not appear to be pencil signed. Note the fine detail and the 1920's automobiles in the image at right corner. Schneider was born in Illinois and is most closely associated with that state. He exhibited at the Louisiana Purchase Exposition of 1904, and the Panama Pacific Exposition of 1915...
