On the backing is a January 2, 1996 photo certificate/declaration by autograph appraiser and author Herman Darvick, attesting to the authenticity of the signature. To the naked eye the work looks exactly like a true lithograph, but it is not...

Also signed and dated 1945 in the plate. From an edition of 30. In 1943 Moskowitz was the recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship and moved to New Mexico where he lived and worked for 7 years. He became a member of the Taos-Santa Fe group of artists. This lithograph was produced during that period.
