The Mark Twain-appearing man vaguely resembles figures you've seen in prints by Thomas Hart Benton, and the print REALLY resembles a work by artist Eric Bransby (born 1916), recently recognized with an exhibition at a well-known Denver gallery...

Pencil signed and numbered lithograph print of a Civil War subject (Confederate soldiers with their flag, surrounded by gigantic black-eyed Susans), 13" by 11", 19" by 17" framed, by the well listed Louisiana artist ROLLAND HARVE GOLDEN (1931-2019). The juxtaposition of the oversized flowers and Confederate warriors is in keeping with Golden's self-described "borderline surrealism"...

An example of the 1957 poster of a seated nude, titled "Andre Derain Dessins", by Galerie Maeght. The lithograph is framed in a silver metal frame with orange backdrop. Measurements are 25 3/4" by 18 3/4" (30 1/2" by 24 1/4" as framed). Derain was a major French artist in the first half of the twentieth century, renowned early on for his Fauvist works and later for a wealth of works, both drawings and paintings, many of which depicted the female nude. WILL BE SHIPPED WITHOUT GLASS.

Chromolithograph print of jockeys on their mounts in a race, circa mid 19th century, 13" by 19" (15" by 21" in modern day dark frame), signed in the image by the noted British Vanity Fair magazine caricature and sporting artist LIBERIO PROSPERI (1854-1928), who signed as "Lib". The print is framed without mat and has some condition issues, including two vertical folding creases, and a damage area at lower center, below the horse's leg (see close up of that)...

A true lithograph, possibly titled "Litografia VI", 9 1/2" by 12 1/2" inside the mat, 12 1/2" by 15 1/2" including the mat, unframed, by the famous Spanish modern artist who needs little introduction, JOAN MIRO (1893-1983). I do not know when this was produced or if the edition was limited. The mat is permanently glued down over the work, which is also apparently permanently affixed to the foamboard backing. Colors are very bright...

An original turn of the century print, apparently from a publication of the era, featuring a cabman and an elegantly dressed woman walking away, signed at lower left corner by the noted Spanish artist FRANCISCO XAVIER (JAVIER) GOSE (1876-1915). This original lithograph is not behind glass and is loose in the current framing. The measurement of the sheet is approximately 12" by 9" (19" by 17" in the framing). Original 19th century lithograph "A Scene in Old Ireland", by Currier and Ives, the famous American printmakers. This is a true antique hand-colored lithograph and not a later restrike. The work is framed in a late 19th century wood frame with gold inner fillet. Wood backing with rotary saw marks indicates it was framed after the 1870's. Measurements are 12" by 15 3/4" as framed (margins are ample but might have been trimmed a little in early days). The print is in about average condition ...
