Vintage poster, 27 1/2" by 19 3/4" in present metal frame, the subject a woman in profile holding flowers, doves in the composition as well, titled "This poster was presented to the Egyptian Delegation on the occasion of President Sadat's Peace Mission to Jerusalem November 1977", the artwork by IRENE AWRET (1921-2014) and her husband AZRIEL AWRET (1910-2010), both noted Holocaust survivor artists. Sadat of course, sadly, was assassinated in 1981. The print is published by Jerusalem Art Prints...

These are 3 different “takes” of the kanji for Stone. Red is Work 74-58 (Stone) ; Green is 76-56 (Stone); Blue is 76-54 (Stone). The green one is larger than the other two. All have the striking black sun as one stroke of the kanji.

In 1976 Haku Maki did three pairs of prints in which the black and white were reversed. One set is shown here. The cement blocks were used to print the white on black, then cleaned to do black on white. These were done in such themes as Mind Wind and Cloud. These are strong sweeping images in rather large prints. The two Wind images here are typical of the type. They are all about 15" x 20" and in editions of 150.

Framed hand pulled lithograph Printer's Proof of The Resurrection by Frank Herbert Mason (1921 - 2009). Signed in pencil by the artist, it is dated 1977 with P.P. for printer's proof. An unframed woodblock print by the hand of one of the masters of 20th century Japanese printmaking, 12 1/2" by 17 3/4" inside the existing mat (the full sheet 16 5/8" by 21 1/2", as permanently laid down on a board), signed in pencil by the artist at lower right and bearing his red seal. The image is of a major traditional multi-tiered temple, perhaps the famous one at Himeji on Honshu, shown in winter with snow on the nearby pines. Sekino was creating art before age 20...
