This is a fresh and clean example of the 1956 print "The Four Sisters, Chazalet", one of an edition of only 675 examples, signed in pencil at lower right and bearing an characteristic embossed blind stamp and, in the image, (copyright symbol) "F & R (Frost and Reed) at lower left. The print measures 18" by 24" (26 1/2" by 32" as framed). According to information on the net, Chazalet is a small medieval period town in central France near the famed ceramics town of Limoges...

A circa 1920's to 1940's old reprint of the much-loved classic Currier and Ives lithograph "American Winter Scenes", with a horse-drawn sleigh heading towards the snug home at right in which a party appears to be held. The piece measures 23 1/2" by 30 1/2" in what I believe is a birdseye maple frame. Condition is very good, vintage condition. The original 19th century lithograph is very expensive; this reasonable alternative will provide the same decorative punch.

This is an attractive and elegant poster, issued in 1954 for an exhibition of the works of the ultra famous and important Swiss sculptor, painter and printmaker, ALBERTO GIACOMETTI (1901-1966). Measuring 29" by 20 1/2", it is simply framed in modern metal with glass and no mat. The edition size of this particular poster, titled "Rue d'Alesia", is unknown. Oversized Japanese limited edition sosaku hanga woodblock print by Tadashi Nakayama (b. 1927) titled “Afternoon in Blue.” The print was executed in bold colors with gold and silver highlights set against a brilliant blue background. This vertical image is pencil-signed “T. Nakayama,” numbered 44/85, and dated 1982 in the bottom margin. The red Nakayama seal is on the back. Paper size: 42" x 27 7/8” (image: 35 3/8" x 23”)...

A lovely hand colored scene, "City of Providence", engraved by listed American 19th century artist ASA COOLIDGE WARREN (1819-1904) after an apparent painting by artist R. Hinshelwood (see lower right margin for that name). Robert Hinshelwood (1812-1879) came from England circa 1835; he was an engraver, etcher and painter. Very decorative truly antique, 1770's print of an elegant lady standing, in the sanguine color, crayon technique (also known as "chalk-manner") perfected by talented eighteenth century artist GILLES DEMARTEAU (1722-1776). The print, executed after a painting by the great French Rococo master Jean-Honore Fragonard, measures 15" by 10 5/8" inside the fine French matting, with gilt border and numerous outlines, that in turn housed in a gold leaf antique frame measuring 22" by 18"...

This evocative semi-erotic colour lithograph print entitled "Nokemono" (translated from Japanese - outcast) was produced in 1969 by Fumio Tamura (Japan, 1941-). Fumio Tamura was born in the Nagano prefecture, and he graduated from Tokyo Art College in 1968, so this 1969 litho dates from early in his career.
