An interesting note -- Chase owned The Little Hotel by the Sea (located at the Grande Colonial Hotel in La Jolla, Calif.) The hotel boasted of having a beautiful six-passenger mahogany elevator, making it "The Littlest Hotel in the World with an Elevator."

Ovesized Japanese limited edition copperplate etching titled “Makinohama Beach” by Tanaka Ryohei (1933-1919). Pencil-signed, dated 2006, and numbered 19/100 in the lower margin. Paper size: 24 1/4" x 13" (image: 20 1/8" x 9"). This etching was never framed and is in excellent condition.
