THis is a fine color aquatint etching by French artist Louis Icart. The title is: La robe de chine,( The Silk Robe) created and printed in 1926, published by Les Graveurs Modernes, 194 rue de Rivoli, Paris. The image measures 15X18 1/4 inches. Hand signed in pencil lower right also with the windmill blindstamp and copyright information in the upper left corner. Very rich color remains, nice condition..This image appears in the Holland catalog as number 276.
A wood engraving, late 19th century, titled at bottom center "The Yosemite Valley, California", the image a breathtaking panorama of the waterfalls and sheer cliffs of the world-renowned natural wonder, set off by foreground trees and rocky ledges. Although the vintage print is perhaps not an actual Harper's Weekly work, it is in that vein and style. This small lively print depicts two generations of small children playing. It measures 6.25in x 8 3/16in.

Black (American, 1919-1972), printed posthumously by Berkley Chappell (inscribed bottom right in pencil "Berk Chappell imp.") Titled and marked a/p in pencil l.l. Signed "Wendell H. Black '58 by Elaine" l.r. 18" by 24" image alone. In excellent original condition.

In the late 1970s, ceramics became an important concentration for Maki’s artistic creations. As ceramic objects are central to Japanese culture, he didn’t have to look far for inspiration. He did many fine examples and the texture of each item is always striking. This tan bowl was created in 1979. Collection 19 was number 12 of 205 and it measures 9.5inW x 10.5inH. It is embossed and in good condition.
TWO antique original (not reproduction) lithograph prints with delicate, subtle hand coloring,by noted English artist and nineteenth century Middle Eastern traveler DAVID ROBERTS (1796-1864). The prints both measures 8 3/4" by 12 1/2" (14 1/2" by 18 1/2" as framed). Roberts is best known for his lithographed images of sites in the classical Middle East, of which these are typical examples. I've not examined these out of the frames but they do appear to be in excellent, clean condition...

Original eighteenth century engraving by the famous artist GIOVANNI BATTISTA PIRANESI (1720-1778), titled "Veduta interna di una delle tre sale sepulcrale credute della Famiglia di Augusto". This is a classic print by the undisputed master of architectural views, the sheet measuring 19 5/8" by 22 3/4". Condition is fair with old oxidation, foxing, and stains in the extreme lower corners, and, the piece has the normal center fold. More photos on request.
Johannes Wierix, Flemish, 1549-1618, "The Betrayal of Christ, Agony in the Garden". This is a rare early engraving by Johannes Wierix after Pieter van der Borcht, printed with an image on both sides of the sheet. Each image measures 4 1/2 x 2 7/ 8 inches, 1583, a good impression on a very early laid type paper, published by 16th century book printer and publisher Christophe Plantin. One side of the sheet shows the 'Betrayal of Christ', the other 'Agony in the Garden'.

The subject is a Portrait of Benjamin Evans, Benjamin Evans is thought to have been etched during Augustus John’s stay in Liverpool, where he taught at the University from 1901-1902. This image is pencil signed by the artist and has a platemark measuring 5X4 inches. Very richly printed some very light but even toning to the sheet...
