A lithograph print of a typical northern New Mexican adobe house of the Santa Fe and Taos region, signed in the plate at lower center with what appears as "J Hill" and dated nearby 48. The black and white image measures 6 1/4" by 9 1/4" inside the mat, 15" by 17 1/2" in simple black wood strip frame. Not examined out of frame but appears very clean and fresh. I have not been able to locate a listed artist by this name that would correspond to this work.

By the noted Northwest artist Elton Bennett (1910-1974), a circa early 1970's serigraph print, "Hurrying Feet", featuring sandpipers on the shore, a coastal forest in the background, a luminous light typical of the artist's works filtering over it all. Bennett learned serigraphy at the Portland Museum of Art school in the 1950's. A native of the Olympic Peninsula, the artist was a keen observer of all things Northwest...

Created in the 1980s, Haku Maki did a series of rarely seen prints called Drop. They seemed to depict oil dropped onto the surface of water. Drop 7 is one of those prints. It is no. 32 of 203 and it measures 9.75in W x 11in H. As with many old prints, it has tape residue on the four edges of the back from a previous framing but there is no impact on the face of the print.

A striking mid century aquatint etching in colors by the noted European artist and print maker JOHNNY FRIEDLAENDER (1912-1992). The unframed print, 8 1/2" by 5 1/2" inside the present mat opening (sheet 13 1/2" by 9 1/2") is signed at lower right margin with the artist's distinctive signature and numbered 41/55 at lower left. A color print of the year 1930, issued by Frost and Reed of Bristol and London, titled "The Pytchley Huntsman--Frank Freeman on Pilot", after a painting by the famous English equestrian artist ALFRED JAMES MUNNINGS (1878-1959), measuring 20" by 19 3/4" inside the existing linen mat and 31" by 30 1/2" in the wood framing. The print is NOT pencil signed. Munnings is perhaps the pre-eminent painter of all things horses, at least among 20th century artists...

Etching in dark brownish-black ink, 14 3/8" by 10 1/2" inside the mat (19 3/4" by 15 1/2" as framed), the print numbered at lower left 37/100, while additionally signed and dated there as well in the plate, while titled in the plate "Notre Dame #2" at lower right. This is likely by an artist considered Canadian, CAROLINE HELENA WILKINSON ARMINGTON (1875-1939) rather than by American CAROLINE ARMINGTON (1898-1986), though records for the two seem to be hopelessly entangled...

To be sold together, available for purchase are two of the familiar Alaska scenes after original paintings by famed Alaskan artist SYDNEY LAURENCE (1865-1940), originally offered through Griffin's store in Juneau, AK. Each measures 9" by 7" inside the original mats (and 19 1/2" by 15 3/4" as framed). Titles are "Prospector's Camp", and "Trapper's Cache". The prints are in excellent condition...

Etching on paper, 5 1/2" by 3" inside the innermost mat, (12" by 9" in green and gold mats, as ready for framing--presently unframed), the title of the print "La Rue du Change, Tours", pencil signed at lower right margin by the artist and dated there 1924. Tours is an historical old city of about 135,000 south and west of Paris, considered a gateway to the Loire Valley chateau region.
