Very rare hand carved Baroque Church Putto (Cherub), wood with traces of gilding and polychrome paint, made for corner/angle where 2 walls join. Wood shows 2 cracks, toes of right foot are missing because of age, otherwise in good overall condition. Size: H. 12" x W. 9" x D. 8" Unique collector's item!

Magnificent 19th Century standing Mandalay Buddha, wood with lacquer patina and gilding, standing on a lotus flower socle. The slender body wears an elaborate monk's garment. Fine workmanship including a beautiful turquoise headband (rarely found) and silver colored glass inlays on the borders of the flowing robe and the lotus pedestal. The Buddhas's left hand clasps his robe, the right one holds a myrobalan fruit. Very good condition considering the age...

An original vintage modernist carved wood sculpture of a female form by renowned Indian sculptor Kesavan Appukuttan Achary. Solid wood mounted on a solid wood base signed Appu the name he goes by. Chinese horseshoe back lady's folding chair made of elm wood with brass mounts. Back splat and other details are carved with an archaic chimera motif. Reinforced seat is very comfortable and strong. Classical and elegant design.

This is an excellently and intricately carved boxwood very charming netsuke,made by the native of Ukraine Alexander Derkachenko. It depicts a seated Okame who is laughing as she holds a large Cucumber. Signed in seal form. Netsuke is stained in tan and brown colors. It measures 1.21 inches (3.1cm) wide, and 1.52 inches (3.8cm) tall. It is in outstanding condition, as may be seen in the posted photos. Alexander Derkachenko is a contemporary artist born in Sambor, Ukraine, in 1964...

Finely carved, one of kind statue of Steeplechase legend, "Cottesmore". Winner of the Grand National in 1940 and 1942. Hand Carved of rosewood with the highest level of detail. Created in the 1940's in the USA by a German immigrant residing in the Ohio area. Excellent condition. Stands approximately 12" tall on original wooden base with felt backing. This is a true American treasure created with the highest level of German craftsmanship. Stunning piece.
