Composed of a hollow-cast rectangular top with a textured band, this ring is designed to sit horizontally, extending over an adjacent finger. It works best when worn on the fourth, or traditional, ring finger, so that it extends over the pinkie. It is lightweight and quite comfortable as a result. The underside of the top bears the Israel and sterling marks, as well as a maker’s mark of Rozin. The ring is a size 8; the top measures 1 3/16 inches long by 5/8 inch wide by about 3/16 inch deep.

Typical of Patrice's fine design, always rich in the use of semi-precious stones, this pendant necklace and earrings is a beautiful example of her work. In this set she uses serpentine jade, Chinese turquoise, tiger iron jasper, hsiu jade, vintage German glass and brass. The necklace is 17" around and the chunky monkey pendant is 2 1/4" long, 1 1/4" wide and 3/4" front to back. The clip earrings are 1" long and 3/4" wide.

Made in the Viking style, with a bold rivet-like design on the top of the band. The bangle closes with a chain and rod clasp and is very secure. The inside bears the marks of the maker, Kalevara Koru, the sterling mark of Helsinki, and the date code of Q8 for 1993. The two marks for Finland silver are struck as well, but indecipherable. Karen Smith, a contemporary American artisan, refers to herself as a "knotter of miniature tapestry adornments." She designs knotting patterns in washable nylon thread and integrates them with gemstones. This particular necklace is composed of a serpentine dragon carving with amethyst, turquoise, black onyx, jade and goldstone beads. It is hand signed Karen Smith '06 on the back. It is a remarkable and outstanding artwork! I measures 28" end to end (measured using the inside string of beads).

We just found out that this buckle was designed by Denez for the Autumn/Winter 1970 Yves Saint Laurent season. Formed as four delicate, curled stems that fan out at the bottom, with a large central faux pearl and four smaller ones suspended at the ends. The posts bear the English mark for 9kt gold. The maker’s mark of D&F appears on the underside of one of the curled areas, and the marks for Birmingham and 1993 on another. The earrings measure about 1 ¼ inches long and about 5/8 inch wide.
