Maya's lovely resin purse with one sculpted flower to set it off. The man-made hand molded resin for Maya's purses comes from trees native to the Philippines.The resin body of the purse is hand polished and, then, semi precious stones--in this case carnelian, picture jasper and rock crystal nuggets--are added to purse and chain. Measurements of this purse are 6 1/2" by 4" by 2". Chain is 46" end to end.

Elegant Patrice, as usual. Handsome three dimensional lion figure on thick serpentine pendant with carnelian and amethyst dangle. Necklace beads are grade A amethyst. Note beautiful backing on the pendant. Necklace is 17" long, end to end; pendant, including dangle, is 3 3/4" by 1 3/8". Chunky clip earrings are of Wyoming jade and amethyst and are 1 1/8" by 7/8".

From our World Handicrafts Collection (ex-Asia), an extremely fine silver filigree boat from Cusco Peru, modeled after a Spanish Armada ship. The filigree here is exceptionally fine and intricate. The amount of painstaking and meticulous work that goes into crafting filigree of this scope and detail is really quite astounding, and rivals much of the best Indian filigree work we have seen...

India vintage Polki - Kundan set Emerald bead and Gold necklace tests 18-22k Indian gold is usually 20-22 and is never marked. Each emerald is visually .25ct and there are 5 stones on each bead and there are 40 beads. Clasp to end is 18.75" weight is 59g . Personal piece but no longer wear bought in 2001.

The carving on this Maya purse is exquisite. Especially note the graceful motion of the woman's hand as she supports the child. Purse is 8" wide, 4 1/2" high and 2 1/4" deep. Chain is 42" end to end.

Stunning statement bangle in opaque black resin decorated with soft clear plastic threads "stitched" through the resin. Unattributed, but probably European. Circa 1980 or 1990. I am selling a very similar bangle in orange resin. This is a big piece and best worn over a long sleeved sweater or T shirt, or pushed up the forearm stacked with other bangles. 1 1/4 inches wide (sideways) and 3/4 inch thick. The inner inside diameter is 2 5/8 inches and the outer inside diameter is 3 inches...

Maya presents this beautiful golden color in her carved resin purse. The color is enhanced by the carnelian and onyx beads, and the faceted crystals and rhinestones, both on the purse and on the chain. The purse is 8" by 4 1/2" and 2" front to back. The chain is 44" end to end.

Mashiko-ware kyusu (side-handled teapot), new. A finely crafted artisan ware in the tradition of Mashiko folk pottery. The orange-brown "kaki" glaze is a staple of traditional Mashiko ware that is used infrequently these days. It is made from the locally mined Oya stone. Drips of Mashiko-guro (Mashiko black) adorn the shoulders of the pot. Volume is 3 cups/750ml. H.4.5"(11.5cm) x W.7.5"(19cm.) The town of Mashiko is located about 70 miles northwest of Tokyo, in Tochigi Prefecture...
