From our Indian Subcontinent Collection, a fine and intricately constructed silver filigree peacock adorned with turquoise stones in the tail feathers. From our World Handicrafts Collection (ex-Asia), a handsome inlaid wooden box from Oaxaca Mexico, very attractively executed with dark brown inlay upon a lighter straw colored base wood. The box is fairly light, not quite balsa wood weight but light nevertheless, and is fragrant on the inside where the exposed surface of the hewn wood has not been varnished. Regrettably, we have forgotten the name of this interesting wood...

Urushi bowl made by Kizaki Tsukiho (1984~) who is an emerging urushi craftsman in Shiga Pref. He makes a wood bowl himself and paints urushi too, generally it is done by each craftsman. Texture is rather rough comparing with common urushi bowl but stronger. Contemporary. In excellent condition. Diameter:11.5cm H:8.3cm

Offered is an early George Ponzini Art Deco studio glass perfume bottle that pre-dates his later colorful post-modern Memphis-style bottles. The bottle has a colorless glass chamber and round stopper surrounded by iconic opaque, transparent, and textured black, gold, and colorless glass Art Deco geometric shapes. Sheet glass and glass rods, marbles, and beads are cut, ground, sandblasted, and assembled with ultra-violet curing adhesives...

Huge statement multi strand long beaded necklace of glass seed beads and matching dyed red coral color raffia beads, with beaded band. This type of decorative beading, conterie, originated in Italy. This piece is probably Italian. 1980s. This came from a Philadelphia area estate and the original owner purchased this necklace in multiple colors. I am also listing a red coral color version.
