This has an American antique folk art appearance though I believe these are made in Asia, as decorative objects. Add to your Adirondack style interior; excellent for the second house at the lake. This contemporary brooch by French designer Pavone is made of galalith (a plastic derived from skim milk!). The little cat just oozes sassy personality and begs to be taken home by a cat lover. From our World Handicrafts Collection (ex-Asia), a handsome inlaid wooden box from Oaxaca Mexico, very attractively executed with dark brown inlay upon a lighter straw colored base wood. The box is fairly light, not quite balsa wood weight but light nevertheless, and is fragrant on the inside where the exposed surface of the hewn wood has not been varnished. Regrettably, we have forgotten the name of this interesting wood. In any event, a lovely gift item.

Elegant and graceful looking, this Maya purse is charming. The carved butterfly design is on both sides of the purse while carved flowers adorn the resin top. Crystals and pearls are on both the purse and the silver metal-colored chain. Purse is 8" wide, 6" high and 3" deep. Detachable chain is 42" end to end.

This molded and carved resin purse by American designer Maya is, as usual, a work of art! To enhance the purse Maya uses brown quartz, lemon quartz, piwa pearls and crystal chips and a gold plated chain. As with most of her purses, the 45" chain is removable and may be worn as a necklace or belt. Purse is 6 3/4" wide, 5" high and 2 1/2" deep.
