We just found out that this buckle was designed by Denez for the Autumn/Winter 1970 Yves Saint Laurent season. This is a substantial Valentino lucite & gilt metal necklace. It measures 19 3/4" (50.5cm) long from the hook to the last ring in the chain. Each of the orange lucite pieces are 1 3/8" ((4cm) long.. A while ago, I was lucky enough to buy a group of early Jean Paul Gaultier jewelry. The US rep for Gaultier had it stashed away in a box and was happy to find someone who would appreciate it.
