A delightful antique wind-up witch toy, ca. 1920. She has a colorfully-decorated composition head and composition hands. Her costume is made of gauze and wool felt. The feet are black-painted lead. When wound up, the witch totters back and forth. 7-1/2" tall.

Outstanding antique German snowman Christmas candy container. We've had many vintage Christmas candy containers, but never this design. The entire papier-mache container is covered with red and white chenille. The snowman straddles the container, making a sort of basket handle. His black eyes are glass and his nose is composition. The inside of the basket is marked "Germany."

Beautiful Lladro Christmas porcelain bell, handmade and hand-decorated in 1989- Spain. Adorned with angels dancing through the sky. This bell is in perfect condition but has no box. Matte finish. Approximately 3" tall and 3" in diameter.

Lovely pastel pink and blue blown glass indent bead Christmas tree garland. The light colors are accented by the strong reds inside the blue indents and yellow and green inside the pink indents. 28" long. Bright color and silvering; some flaking to red paint; one pink bead is missing.

A very rare cobalt blue version of the Santa Claus or Belsnickel bottle created around 1900 by Monroe Gandy Husted of the Husted-Hall Mold Works in Bridgeton, NJ. The bottle was blown into a three-part mold. This example retains the original quatrefoil-shaped front label showing a snow-covered mountain cabin surrounded by a holly leaf border. The clear bottles have an embossed “M.G. Husted” signature, but the cobalt bottles do not, leading some to suspect the blue versions were reproductions...

A terrific and very rare lithographed tin chocolate box, the lid decorated with "The Wheel of Fund and Frolic" Halloween game. The spinner points to various party tasks such as "Push a pickle across the floor with your nose" or "Sing a mammy song in black-face". Some of the tasks, like "Turn out the lights and have each girl kiss the boy nearest her" sound like a little more fun! The side of the tin is marked "Mrs. Sothern Home Made Sweets". Ca. 1930...

This is a great example of how the company made parts interchangeable so they could create new items by joining together a seemingly endless selection of rabbits, ducks, roosters, chicks, etc. Circa 1950. This Matchless star Christmas light has red glass prisms and a red glass gem. The base is bakelite and the bulb is C-6. These star lights were manufactured by the Matchless Electic Co. of Chicago, circa 1930. The lights are 2 inches in diameter and in working condition. 4 available in this color combination. Condition: excellent.

Terrific vintage Christmas ornament fashioned from a papier-mache bell turned into a house. A cotton batting Santa Claus with a composition face is attached to the side. Unmarked, but most likely Japanese. Circa 1930. Very good condition, a little of the paint missing from the hanger and some wear to the "feather" trees. 3-1/2" high.

Fabulous handpainted sheet iron feather tree stand. The Christmas tree stand features three elves contemplating their traditional lucky mushrooms. The elves, one each in blue, red and yellow hooded suits, are seated on little grassy knolls planted with flowers. The painted details are terrific; each elf has completly different facial features than his friends. The center pole is painted green with metallic silver highlights.

A 1930's Santa Clause figurine with a composition face and boots, a cotton batting beard, a felt jacket, and a cotton toy bag and pants. He stands on a mica-covered paperboard base. Unmarked, but definitely pre-war Japanese. Some of the Japanese Santas have rather fearsome faces, but this one is quite jolly. At 7" tall, he's also a bit larger than most.

A vintage composition candy container in the rare form of a pink pig. The head is delicately painted to highlight a devilish face with red lips and a broad grin in which he bares his teeth. Early German Halloween candy container featuring a composition black cat perched atop a red paperboard container. The bottom once had a stick-on label of some sort that scuffed up the paper, so there is no longer a “Made in Germany” mark, but this is clearly a German piece.
