A Vintage Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Footed Bowl, 1912 Johan Rohde Design. Measures about 5 1/4" high, 5 7/8" across. Fine condition, great hand wrought example.

An unusual set of three Persian silver salts or salt cellars cast in the form of a long tailed bird with punched and incised decoration. The heads screwed to the body of the bird. Some variation in the design of the three. One of the group stamped with three marks in Farsi, probably indicating the names of the Silversmith, City and fineness of the Silver, 840...

Large set of foxhunting dummy boards made by English company Duberry & Whatsit. Includes 12 pieces total, 6 horses and 6 fox hounds. Paper on fiberboard. Largest horse/rider measures 12" tall. Hounds measure approx. 6" tall. Each horse/rider and dog has a name. Made in the early 80's a hard set to find. Very good vintage condition. One hound has paper peeling off leg and one is missing a 1/4" chip in his tail. On removeable bases.

Medium: Japanese woodblock print.
Condition: Very Good. Light wear and soft crease at left. Corner margin chip.

One Finely formed and decorated Japanese blue and white porcelain dish. The deep, foliate rim fired to chocolate brown along the edge is suggestive of kakiemon influence. Decoration of figure seated in royal ease pose, perhaps Kannon, in rich foliate garden setting centered by repetitive characters (perhaps suggestive of sutra or chants) inside the deep rim. The Buddhist motif is unusual. Spurious Ming Chenghua mark. Good condition. Diameter, 7 5/8 inches. Ca 1900/early 20th century...

One Japanese porcelain mamezara (bean, or appetizer, dish.) Fine blue and white decoration of a landscape on one panel and particularly fine shades of blue decoration of a flowering prunus branch on another. Karakusa decoration on the back. Spurious Ming Chenghua mark inside the foot rim. Good condition. Length, about 6 inches. Ca 1900/Early 20th century. Wonderful kneeling female Agere Ifa Figure from the Yoruba People made of wood and pigment, carrying a bowl. The figure has good age and shows much handling.

Such figures could well have been used in the divination process among the Yoruba called Ifa. Cowry shells, cola nuts, may have been kept in the bowl being carried by the woman...

This is a lovely rosewood music box with a cylinder that plays six tunes. The cylinder can be replaced and others added, but we only have this one for the box. There is no list of the songs it plays, but it has one of the loveliest sounds of any music box we've had. It measures 27 1/2" long x 11 3/4" wide x 8" tall.

Beautiful solid brass hunt horn chandelier. arms. 25" diameter, 29" drop. Vintage piece, they don't make quality like this anymore! Slight patina, but nice high polish. Freshly wired.

The creator of this lovely Hagi chawan, Hirose Tanga (b. 1939) is the master-potter of Tenpozan kiln in the city of Hagi. When I acquired this piece I thought it reminded me of bowls produced by Yoshida Shuen (apprenticed under NLT Miwa Kyusetsu). As it turns out, Yoshida worked alongside Hirose in establishing Tenpozan and in training young potters in the art of “oni” Hagi which utilizes a rough textured clay and a milky translucent glaze (like the bowl shown here)...
