It is rare to find Duncan and Miller's Tear Drop Covered Candy. It is divided (2 sectioned). Made from the 1930's to 1955, this candy is 7" across, about 4.75" high (with cover on), and in mint condition.

A silver spoon, the shape of traditional Russian type with a long handle and egg-shaped gilt bowl, the modernist pattern pointing towards the 1960’s. Russian (Soviet era) hallmark 875 with star and Cyrillic B plus another mark with the letters B and Yu. Weight 38 grams, length "6½/ 16,5 cm. Condition: a few scratch marks to the bowl.

Very old (over 50 years) which is ancient by Burmese lacquer standards. This was possibly made by the Shan who favored dramatic geometric designs over the more figural Burman style. This has some fritting on the lacquer. H: 24cm/9.5in D: 18cm/7.1in.

This Stueben made art bowl is about 5.5" wide, and about 1.25" tall. It is in mint condition. The color is bluish and blushes to cranberry at the edges.

Japanese lacquered on Reed Kimono Tray, Ca. 1940's, 26" x 16", 4" high, top trim is almost 1/2" thick wood lacquered frame with gold foliage design on black, brown chestnut color lacquered on woven reed basket. There are some small missing lacquer pieces on the trim and reed basket.

Nice antique bags from Afghanistan with exquisite silk embroidery. Bought these in Peshawar in the mid 90s. There is red satin on the larger bag is new and can be removed the smaller bag has a stain but may wash out (never tried so no guarantees). High quality pair of proud standing male and female figures from the Igbo people in Nigeria, made of strong and heavy wood and mounted on custom stands. The figures were made around 1950. Stoneware receptacle, probably used as a kensui, or waste-water jug, in the tea ceremony. Relatively high, straight sides with a constriction under the edge, decorated with the typical green glaze patches and geometrical patterns and plant motives in iron brown on white slip. Black transferware on cream Wedgwood porcelain plates of jungle animals. The plates were made from hand engravings by the Wedgwood School of Engraving. The border was designed the wife of James Stevenson-Hamilton, the first warden of Kruger National Park. In excellent condition, they measure 10.75 inches in diameter.

JJapan Haku Maki Green Ox & Knife This is a beautiful rare green Maki print. It was done in 1971 the cream color calligraphy is as if added after the dark green ‘”flintstone” was prepared. The calligraphy is a light green there is a wonderful white stroke at the right It is one of the many ways Maki signed off on a print. It is balanced off by a soft yellow stroke at the left poem 71 - 61

1920s Japanese ceramic tokkuri - sake bottle - with conical body and narrow mouth. The piece was made at Shigaraki kilns - one of the six ancient kilns of Japan - and displays typical coarse body with large sand particles, freely applied gray glaze with some areas that fired brick red.
