This Kwan Yin with the hand position "Apan mudra" is made of heavy bronze, finest Cloisonné and finished with 24k gold, melted over some parts of the figure with high temperature inside a kiln.

A marvelous three panel table screen done in a combination of Chinese hardwood and porcelain blanc de chine style panels. The central panel is an image of chrysanthemums in full bloom, the left panel is depicting bamboo and the right panel is a branch with dogwood-like flowers with a vine attached to its branches. Chinese carved coral scene of two beautiful young shepherdesses with their sheep, one stands with her back against a tall pine tree and blows her whistle, the other feeds the little sheep from a cylindrical container, another sheep and a little lamb frolic nearby, beautifully carved with great detail, mid 20th century. Size with stand: 7 1/2" high. Height of coral only: 6 3/4" high.

Very beautiful Kinsai Iroe Shino ware tea bowl, signed and inclosed in its original wooden box. It was made about 60 years ago and it is decorated with a shiny gold leaf design and images of grass and plum trees.

The bowl is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or restoration. Signature on base.

Rare "Mbangu" deformity mask, showing a distorted face. Wood, with traces of black and white pigments. Africa, Gabon, Pende Peoples. Height: 12" (30 cm). The mask is nicely mounted on a custom metal stand. Old accident restored locally, chips, age cracks, otherwise good condition. NOTE: Representations of distorted faces are rare in African art. They symbolize the effects of epileptic crisis, which are supposed to be a manifestation of the spirits...
