A hand-carved wood statuette of a man, approximately 11" high, 3" wide, the wood possible oak but not definitively determined. The creator did not sign the piece. Age is also unknown though mid 20th century is likely. Could be American or maybe European.

Chinese carved Ivory Ram's Head clasp, consisting of Ram's Head and oval ring, 2 long 7/8" wide, 3/8" deep-Ram's Head, and 7/8" x 5/8" wide, 1/8" thick-oval ring, made in "Hong Kong" label, imported to US prior to 1980. The oval ring goes over the Ram's Head to close the necklace, connect with string to other side of Ram's head, there are two(2) holes to connect together and string the oval ring next to beads of your choice. The condition is good.

Extremely detailed pair of bronze statues of guardians to the Buddha called Niō or Kongōrikishi. While Buddhism usually promotes pacifism, the Nio guardians are said to have justified the use of physical confrontation to fight back against evil. Nio are typically placed on either side of a temple door. A Labijar kilim in slitweave from northern Afghanistan. It measures 70 x 96 cm and is hand knotted from sheep's wool. Late 20th century.

Japanese glass ojime in a form of tombodama bead with rich multicolored ribbon core and four pink petaled flowers with yellow stamens. Tombodama can be translated as “dragonfly ball” and the name is thought to come about because when the molten glass is applied to the core bead it resembles a dragonfly’s eye. Superbly made piece - see the individual stamens and finely textured petals, in perfect condition. Height 0.8 inches.

This set of 8 porcelain tea cups, saucers and dessert plates was produced in Germany at the renowned Nymphenburg factory. They are dated from 1958 through 1978. The Hazara embroidery of central Afghanistan is extremely fine, worked typically in brick stitch in diamond motifs surrounded by hooked diamonds. This saye gosha (or segusha) shows the dynamic use of line and vivid color for which Uzbek Lakai embroidery is famous. Saye gosha are V-shaped hangings used to decorate piles of quilts while in storage during the day in the yurt. The Lakai are an Uzbek tribe who currently live around Kunduz in northern Afghanistan. Measuring 5 x 17 inches (12.7 cm x 43.18 cm), this pair of embroidered bands from Afghanistan are dated to the late 20th century and are in good condition with one minor stain on one edge. Cobalt blue and vivid pink are the main colors executed in polyester thread in satin stitch.
