Large stoneware jar with multi-color dripping glaze over a creamy white crackled glaze. The green is the traditional green of earlier Shigaraki ware, the blue as well, but a variety of brown, red, pink and black have been added to the palette. Inside and bottom covered in brown glaze with yellow spots. Japan, early Showa, 1920-1930s.

WMF Ikora patinated metal dish or bowl, Germany c 1930. The surface iridescent in yellow-green and black, in the center a stylized ribbon or flower or an abstract Art Déco motif. Small paper label to the back D11 and the impressed Ikora and WMF factory mark for the German Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik. Diameter "10 / 25 cm. Condition: a wire for hanging fixed by soldering.

Pre Assay piano hinge silver pill or stamp box stamped and marked: Silver Made in Mexico. Applied ethnographic feather like design and a bezel set 7mm amethyst cab. 21 grams and could be higher than sterling. 1 1/8" X 1 3/4". While it has a nice vintage outer patina, the inside is very "white", as if when rec'd it was put away for decades and the inside never saw the light of day...

DESCRIPTION: A handsome rectangular Chinese chest crafted from a deep red ox leather and furnished with brass fittings. The interior still has the original blue silk lining and would have originally held scrolls or documents. Today it would make an attractive accent piece on top or underneath a cabinet or table. Exceptional early Showa Period c.1937 art deco bronze flower vase in the original signed paulownia box. The kanji on the box reads: Chudo Ume Moyo "bronze vase with plum petal motif. Also Kabin or "flower vase". On the inside is the signature of Tatsugo and his seal. The bronze has plum petals in raised relief and inside small crosses. The vase itself is divided in sections by incissed lines. Ask for shipping quote. H:20cm ; diameter is 22cm.

Set of 6 large 800 silver teaspoons from Roumania, c.1937. Sleek clean modernist design, they each measure 5 9/16" long and there is a slight gold wash inside the bowl. Each squared off bowl measures 1 3/4" long by 1 3/16" wide. They are each signed "R(in circle for Roumania)CROWN A(in soft triangle for .800 silver, 1937)" on the back with two other hallmarks in the bowl, that are hard to decipher. Very good condition but could use polishing...

Dancing Nymph is the correct name for this Consolidated pattern - it's sometimes called "Dance of the Nudes" due to listings in depression glass books under that name. Originally produced in 1928, it's a wonderful pattern for the deco collector as well as glass lovers. This is the footed sherbet in the green satin finish. A fine vintage Art Deco style 6-3/4" step sided .800 silver wine slide or coaster. This item was used to slide bottles of wine along the table (most had wood bottoms with felt or fabric). This one is stamped A800 with an A (bee or figure) C maker's mark. This mark was used in Belgium on silver articles after 1942, we have been unable to identify the maker as yet.
