This depression glass cup & saucer set is the Newport or Hairpin pattern. Made by Hazel Atlas during the 1930's, the color is amethyst, though Hazel Atlas called it 'Burgundy' in the original ads. A very old New Guinea Massim lime spatula, made of intricately carved dark wood. The spatula portion is missing. This is not my specialty; identified by major auction house expert. A fine example of Melanesian ethnographic carving. Measures 12" by 4 1/4" (extreme dimensions). The thin tip is broken, as shown.

Beautiful cased vase by Pallme-Konig und Habel, showing their excellent use of the casing technique! The vase is four layers of glass; orange, white, clear, then the decorative layer of textured red glass. The vase was then covered with irregular applied trailed decoration in black, which has been worked into the surface. The entire surface has been strongly iridized. The first photograph (white background) best shows the true color of the piece and the intensity of color...

1) Stoneware incense box or kogo in the shape of an onna daruma (female daruma). She sits in the typical way, all rolled up in her garment, indicating that arms and legs may have fallen off. Her face shows striking similarity to Okame. Cream colored and reddish brown glaze over whitish soft clay, the face left partially free, fine crackle in the glaze. Japan, Meiji period...

RARE Venetian Cased YELLOW, Red, Blue and White FENICI Art Glass 2 Handle Vase!!! Attributed to Fratelli TOSO, circa early 1900s if not earlier!!! This is a large piece at 8 1/4" tall (compared to the usual 3" pieces). Really bright colors with feathered design. Truly an amazing piece! For accuracy, it has 1 open bubble on the bottom foot, as well as impact marks and cracks to the glass around the foot, but NO missing pieces to it...

This charming millefiori Fratelli Toso Mosaica Vase has blue and green with white accents murrines arranged in alternating verticle rows, with 2 stretched cane handles and acid-matte finish. In "Fratelli Toso Italian Glass 1854-1980" author Leslie Pina dates these as made in the 1900-1910 time frame. P. 32-57. This vase stands 5" tall, 3" diameter. The piece is in perfect condition.

A JG Graves Sheffield sterling silver swing-out key pocket watch 1902. This English sterling silver key wind cased pocket watch is by JG Graves of Sheffield, England. Graves (1866-1945) was a watchmaker, entepreneur and benefactor, and this watch is hallmarked for Chester 1902, with the swing-out case having the Graves maker's mark. This hand painted English Bristol glass vase with great colors is late 19th century. It is 9 3/8" tall x 5 1/2" wide. The inside mouth diameter is 3 1/4". There are no chips, no cracks, and no repairs to this item. This item is in excellent condition.

A fragment of old Chinese micro stitch needlework, 18" by 9 3/4" (23 1/2" by 15" in attractive black frame and light green backing material), the imagery including classic temples, vegetation, insects, and even two tiny figures (and maybe portions of sampan-style boats). The silk stitch is very small and intricate, the colors bright, though I do note that the edges are frayed and at top stained. Proper framing could hide this.
