PAIR OF MOUNTED OLD CHINESE JADE CARVING PLAQUES, DATING TO THE REPUBLIC PERIOD

A fine pair of larger carvings of an old man and a boy with a bird and two boys in a garden. Finely made and mounted in a low grade silver metal mounts, so that they can be carried and used as ornaments. Both carved in a white/celadon jade.

Size: ca. 70 mm. long each and weighing 107 grams total.

Bohemian cut Crystal tall Wine Glass, cut from green to clear, 7 1/4" tall, 2 1/2" high and 3" diameter without stem, also cut faceted long stem and bottom, underneath the glass. Tiny area polished on the top rim, smooth edge, ready to use.

From our World Handicrafts Collection (ex-Asia), a large and very fine Persian rug, hand-woven of wool and silk in a rich and elegant palette of deep red, dark and light blue, tan, mint green, pale orange, and cream.

Size and Condition: 10 feet and 4 inches long (124 inches), 7 feet and 8 inches wide (92 inches). There are some thread pulls and light general wear, but overall condition is excellent.

A nice set of three carvings in emerald of bears and an Owl Fetish, Native American, probably Zuni, Navaho tribe and 20th. century (3).

The carvings are cut and polished in one emerald stone in transperant light blue-green colours, very attractive small animals.

Zuni fetishes are small carvings made from primarily stone but also shell, fossils, and other materials by the Zuni people...

Chinese print, made in the 1950s by the National Museum in Taipei, of 16th or 17th century original fan. This print is part of a collection of four volumes; three books have 10 prints each of paintings and fans, one has 7. This is a print of a fan painting. A sage stands and a young boy sits on a cliff overlooking the ocean that has beautiful trees. Below, a goat and three sheep walk on the grass. In the distance the clouds roll in over the water...

OMEGA Ladies 14k WHITE GOLD General CIGAR, Inc. 1/4 Century Retirement watch. A female employee of the General Cigar Co, Inc. who began her tenure in 1940; retired in 1965. Beautiful colors and quality in this set by Robert Clark for the House of De Lillo. The crystals all but glow and the pearls look absolutely real. A wonderful, glamorous set. Choker is 13" by 1 3/4", bracelet is 6 1/2" by 1 3/4" and the clip earrings are 1" in diameter. De Lillo cartouche is on the backs.

Pair of 1950's Famille Rose Bowl with Figurines & Chirography "Dream of the Red Chamber" Marked

Each is 2.4 inches (6 cm) tall by 5.1 inches (13 cm) wide. The box is 3.4 inches (8.7 cm) tall by 11.8 inches (30 cm) wide by 6.2 inches (15.8 cm) long . Total weight is 164 gram. It is 1.7 lb including box.

They have dark spots and surface wears. One bowl has a hairline crack at the lip (as seen in the photos).

Cranberry 7.25" Syrup from the Victorian era. I can't tell you much about this other than it is old, probably from pre-1920's. It has a brass top and ground bottom.

Bead Chain fixtures were the standard ceiling fixture of the American home from the 1920’s through the 1940’s. The decorative glass shade hung from 3 bead chains, and could be adjusted up or down depending on the size of the room and height of the ceiling. The graceful Art Deco design of these fixtures makes them the perfect fit in today's homes. This vintage 10 1/4 inch glass shade has a sort of deco design that looks like circles and ocean waves on a honey yellow background...

A chinese Blanc de Chine figure of Magu with a fawn at her side looking up at her. Magu is standing on a rocky base in flowing robes holding a ewer in both hands, the fawn supporting a basket of flowers on it's back. Impressed double marks on the upper back.

The double gourd mark reads "Dehua"

The square seal reads Puji Yuren...."the vastly accomplished fisherman", and is one that was used by the potter Su Xuejin (1869-1919)...

Cambridge Decagon Pink Handled Tort is 10" across and about 5.5" high at the handle (keyhole). Decagon was made in the 1930's.

This is a dress panel made by Kuchi nomads from Afghanistan, with mirrorwork (shisha) and extensive beadwork. This textile represents the most common form of the amulet, the triangle. Decorative embroideries such as these are used as a protective element in central Asian cultures. The mirrors as shiny objects are incorporated into the embroidery and are believed to avert the evil eye, or reflect and hold its image thus absorbing the destructive powers...

This really pretty red carnival Elf Mug or Stein was made by Westmoreland Glass. The Stein measures 4 3/4 Inches high. It is signed Westmoreland in a circle on the bottom. This small vessel, similar in a shape to a tokkuri, is a fine example of Oni Shino (carbon trap and natural ash glazing) that Tsukigata is so well-known for. Coining the term in the mid-50’s after countless failed experiments—which ultimately culminated in the discovery of this unique style of pottery—“Oni” translates roughly to demon or ogre...
