A sheet of "tatougami" made of recycled washi (Japanese handmade paper) used at a pawn shop. Hocked items were wrapped in this tatougami and kept. It is made of used washi with letters and kakishibu is painted for insect repellent and for moisture-resisting. The first half of the 20th century. This pretty Milk Glass Paneled Grape Split Handled Basket, with hand painted Roses and Bows decoration, was made by Westmoreland Glass. This Basket measures 6 1/2 inches long X 4 inches across. Traditional folk Korean patchwork hemp textile made from various scrap fabrics (white x lustrous beige) called Bojagi (Pojagi), mid 20th century, approx. 68 x 69cm (26.77 x 27.16in), embodies the lifestyle and the story of the people who take good care of their possessions at that time...

18014440 A signed “Lustre Art” shade, opal exterior with gold iridescent interior. The shade is decorated with green and gold hanging hearts and gold threading. The shade has a scalloped rim and is signed on the 2 1/4 inch diameter fitter rim. The 5 inch tall shade is in excellent condition.

The Hmong women of Thailand would decorate their jackets with small rectangles of ornately embroidered collars. This collection of 6 such collars represents the tiny intricate stitches and range of techniques which use to be used. Collars such as these are rarely available on the market mow.

Collars range from 5.5 to 6 inches across and 3inches to 3.5 inches long.

MacBeth-Evans American Pink Sweetheart 12" Salver Platter is in excellent condition. This pattern was made from 1930-36.

A Birks sterling silver footed round salver or serving tray with the Birks year mark for 1955. This quality 7-1/8" across vintage tray is stamped BIRKS STERLING 106/0. The salver sits slightly raised on feet. It weighs 167 grams, and it is in very good condition with no bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some surface spotting and a small dent (the spots can be buffed out)...

Old Kalaga from Myanmar (now Burma) featuring an unusual but colorful bird. The kalaga is embroidered with a combination of metallic and plain threads, sequins, beads and glass stones. Applied around the bird in a circle are glass-like stones that give the appearance of moonstones. In very good antique/vintage condition, it measures about 14.25 inches square. Circa 1950's or earlier.

The tiny frog has black eyes and is made of bamboo.

A Korean whitish brass incense burner with cover that was used during family Confucian ceremonies. The lid is cut with the eight diagrams which will give the owner protection from misfortune and assure prosperity and happiness. The burner measure about 7 1/2" high x 4 3/4" in diameter, and dates to the early 20th Century Condition: The Condition is excellent. Chinese Mother of Pearl Mahjong Set with Wood Box

The box is 6.6 inches (16.8 cm) tall by 6.5 inches (16.5 cm) long and 9.2 inches (23.3 cm) wide. Each tile is 0.4 inch thick (1 cm) by 1.2 inches (3 cm) in length and 0.78 inch (2 cm) wide. The total weight is 9.3 Lb.

The box has hairline, surface wears and scratches. Some tiles have rubbing paints, flea bite chips, surface wears and scratches (as seen in the photos)...

Being offered is an exceedingly rare circa 1928 sterling silver tea and coffee service by Reed & Barton of Taunton, Massachusetts. Incredible Art Deco period set in a geometric design, including the matching tray...

A classic figural sterling silver thimble jigger by Thomae & Co. The rim is engraved "Only A Thimble Full." The interior retains a small amount of its original gilding. Several companies made variations of this jigger, but those by Thomae are among the best due to their superior weight and workmanship. Origin: America, ca. 1935. Condition: excellent, no dings or monograms. Size: 2" tall. Weight: 41.4 grams.

This is a woman's shift ("kurta") from Swat Valley, Pakistan. It measures 125 cm from one sleeve extended to the other; the gusset measures 24 cm; the bust 57 cm. From top shoulder to bottom hem it measures 91 cm. The sleeve opening is 17 cm. The embroidery technique is pink and red floss silk on indigo-dyed and black cotton depicting geometric shapes typical of the embroidery of the Swat Valley. Condition of this textile is excellent. Estimated age: mid to late 20th century.
