China old wood frog toggle xx

This pretty green Florentine Number 1, aka Poppy Number 1, depression glass tea or coffee cup and saucer was made by Hazel Atlas from 1932 to 1935. This is a rarely found object as part of Wilhelm Kåge's celebrated Argenta series produced for Gustavsberg. It measures 1 5/8" tall and is 1 7/8" in diameter. On the underside is painted in silver Argenta, the old Gustavsberg anchor insignia, Gustavsberg, 958. Impressed is the letter S. Excellent condition. There is crazing, which is normal for the glaze.

A modern, openwork bamboo flower basket, Hanakago, by Chikuhosai, made with the hexagonal plating technique called “kikko sugashi ami” using very thin strips of madake bamboo. Made in an elongated gourd-shape with a tall handle. Signed on the bottom “ CHIKUHOSAI ZO “ (made by Chikuhosai). It comes with the original, lacquered bamboo insert for flowers. From 1960-70’s. Measurement: H. 53,5 cm Ø 16 cm.

Pair of antique large Chinese cloisonne horses. The horses of red tones divided by wires with each animal standing on a raised foreleg. Decorated on the body, legs and head with cropped manes. The blazes on the heads coloured white, as well as just above the hoofs. The tails are removable...

Large folk art hooked cotton rug of a maroon horse outlined in black and with black hooves and tail trotting to the left against a tan ground with maroon corners and blue bands to enclose the horse. Some of the ground hooked in squares of different shades. Dots of brown for nose, eye and in the tail. 22 by 35 inches.

An exceptional pair of near perfect condition Art Deco design and period 'Gueridon' form side tables. The tables with circular tops 27.5 inches in diameter, 28 inches high. Lower shelf 17 inches in diameter and elevated 8 inches from floor. Table top composition consists of eight pie shaped quarter sawn burl maple veneer pieces which center an ebony bulls eye. Being offered is a superb handwrought silverplate circa 1968 pitcher made by Los Castillo, of Taxco, Mexico. This handmade allover hammered bulbous pitcher featuring mother of pearl applied inset on stylized body and large curved handle. Dimensions are 8 inches tall by 8 inches across the handle. No monogram. Marked. In excellent condition.

The large earthenware female figure wearing long robe with traces of paint . The figure has an open side from when the artisan finished the figure and cut off too much clay in the trimming process. No damage or restoration h. 13.75" w 4" . Very rare this large. Intact. This came from a 1920s collection of a French Canadian engineer doing rail road work in China at the time.
