This is a nice Chinese yixing bell shape marked GONG JI teapot. The teapot has a nice patina of light brown earthen clay. The condition is excellent & it's signed on the bottom.

A fine jade pendant carved with lions in the archaistic style, Ming or later periods.

Finely worked piece with high relief details in the type of brownish celadon jade, popular during Ming period, but possible made as a later revival piece, we're not certain.

Condition: Extremely fine, patinated.

Chinese round table of natural gnarled, twisted hardwood roots, and a transparent russet lacquer. The table is constructed in two parts- The trunk-like pedestal base and the rooted edge, round top. This type of natural root furniture goes back to the 12th century aesthetic. Here is an example of the round center table produced during the Republic period, bearing the colonial form true to the Victorian Era.

19th century netsuke of a sitting boy holding a turtle with one hand, and trying to break its shell with a stone that he holds in the other. Unusual subject, strong early carving, wonderful wear consistent with age, beautiful patina with yellowing on the back, where netsuke was touching silk of the kimono. Nice textile patterns, Height 1.41 inches.

A 7 inch tall signed Steuben goblet with colorless cup and foot joined by a Pomona Green twist stem. The goblet is shape 3551 and is decorated in the Van Dyke pattern. The goblet is signed on the polished pontil with the block letter Steuben mark.

Being offered is an exceedingly rare circa 1944 sterling silver serving tray by William Spratling of Taxco, Mexico; made during his first design period (1931-1946). Handwrought oval tray made of heavy gauge silver, decorated with a rope motif around the edge; stepped center. Dimensions: 14 1/4 inches long x 13 inches wide. Heavy 38 oz. Marked as illustrated in photo. In excellent condition.

Exquisitely, embroidery panel from the Yao, sometimes referred as the Mien, ethnic group from northwest Laos near the Vietnamese border. This piece is the back panel from of a woman’s jacket with silk embroidered thread on hand woven indigo dyed cloth and is in excellent condition (one tiny pin hole and later embroidery noted in enlargements), circa 75 years old. This spoon is 5 1/4" long.

The top of the spoon has a building and a shield with birds in the shield, Fort Pitt 1764, and an oil derrick.

The bowl of the spoon is the Pittsburg, Pennsylvania Post Office building.

ON the back of the spoon there is the court house, another view of the post office, and Pittsburg.

Chinese well carved celadon stone ruyi scepter; with Chinese characters design in relief, probably from early to mid 20th century. Size; length of scepter is 14 inches with no condition concerns, this item was advertised as jade but it is most likely hardstone.

Measuring 5 x 17 inches (12.7 cm x 43.18 cm), this pair of embroidered bands from Afghanistan are dated to the late 20th century and are in good condition with one minor stain on one edge. Cobalt blue and vivid pink are the main colors executed in polyester thread in satin stitch.

A wonderful set of 16 tiles illustrating scenes from the story of Don Quixote. The tiles have incised lines separating the colored glazes. Each tile has a rich blue border.

Origin: Spain, circa 1900. Condition: most have small nicks along the edges; two have larger flakes on the edges or corners; no cracks. Size: 2-5/8" x 2-5/8" x 9/16".

A lovely Chinese translucent natural gray agate calligraphy brush with a bone ferrule and end cap. Brush is natural hair. The beads are slightly smaller than most, each measuring only .75" diameter (across) x 1" long. It is just beautiful. Brush measures 11.75 inches long.
