India 17-18thc Mughal life size stucco palace guard statue once one of a pair that was said to be placed by the door of the rulers private temple . This piece was brought from the Gujarat area of India . This is a rare and irreplaceable sculpture . Size H 59" W 17" D 14" weight, a guess 150 lb losses and some restoration as to be expected . This sculpture is done in the full round but due to the weight we couldn't safely photograph the back.

A Chinese sacrificial-red (ji hong) glazed stem bowl. There is a six-character Da Qing Dao Guang Nian Zhi mark inside the bottom of the stem foot, but it was probably made in 20th Century. There are heavy scratches inside the bowl, no other flaw beside this. Diameter: 7"; height: 4".

This very well carved and polished horn carving of a Zun (Chinese traditional libation wine vessel) is an early or mid - 20th century product. It is 5 ½” high, 6 ½” wide and 3 ½” thick (both measured from the top), the round bottom is 2” in diameter. Twelve stylized Bixie (辟邪) and different ritual bronze patterns were deeply carved into the entire body. The artist’s name is illegibly carved on the bottom. It is in great condition.

An antique Japanese Ko Tansu known as a personal storage chest made of Kiri (Paulownia) wood. Traditional wiped lacquer finish and original bronze fittings complement this piece. It features a hinged door that houses a compartment with a removable shelf.

This style of chest would make a great bedside stand or an elegant side table in any room of the house.

Chinese carved coral scene of two beautiful young shepherdesses with their sheep, one stands with her back against a tall pine tree and blows her whistle, the other feeds the little sheep from a cylindrical container, another sheep and a little lamb frolic nearby, beautifully carved with great detail, mid 20th century. Size with stand: 7 1/2" high. Height of coral only: 6 3/4" high.

Japanese 4-panel byobu folding screen, with a shochikubai or "Three Friends of Winter" motif (plum, pine, and bamboo), the image of a pheasant seated upon a jagged rock formation, with a small singing bird on the twisting trunk of the plum tree. The image was taken directly from a commemorative stamp which is affixed to the corner of the frame.

This pretty crystal, Ruby Flashed, Ashburton Candy Dish with Lid was made by Westmoreland Glass. The Ashburton pattern is hard to find in crystal ruby flashed. It measures 7 3/4 inches to top of knob X 4 1/8 inches in diameter. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The ruby stain is all very good. A large and very rare Chinese wedding purse, this unique purse displays colorful Peking forbidden stitch done in patterns displaying various treasures. The inside is of a subtle lavender, while the outside is creme colored with slightly raise geometric designs. This clearly dates it to the early 20's. A bonus feature is fine woven solid silver wire (Not silver wrap) that adorns the sides and has two handles for ease of handling. Condition is excellent with just a very few minor loose threads...

A 7 inch tall Steuben sherry glass with a pomona green stem. The glass is shape 6521 with an engraved colorless cup. There is a nicely polished pontil but no signature.
