String instrument ("saranghi") made of wood, decorated on its top with a human figure. Fine dark brown glossy patina. Himalayan region, early 20th century. Height: 42 cm. The sarangi is nicely mounted on a custom stand. Very good condition. NOTE: collected in Nepal in 1974.

Vintage Chinese Vietnamese Rosewood and Mother of Pearl box, gorgeous mother of pearl inlay and engraving of a pagoda in a tropical background the corners have a Chinese auspicious symbol. Great condition no losses scratches or scuffs and all inlay is in place there is shrinkage to the lid making it sit slightly off set see images. Size 5.5"3.25" by H 2".

An unsigned Moser style cordial standing 6 inches high. The colorless 4 3/4 inch tall stem is topped by a 1 1/4 inch tall cup decorated with 2 blue marquetry plums and engraved leaves and stems in green. There is no pontil mark and the cordial is perfect.

Small lacquered wooden box in the shape of an eggplant. Top of the fruit near the leaves painted with silver pigments. Interior painted with gold pigments, signature in the center partly erased: ka?e (か?エ). Transport box included.

A kôgô is an incense box used in Japan during the tea ceremony...

George V safari flask. Made by James Dixon & Sons in Sheffield in 1927. Clear glass body. Top half encased in leather with cutout tubular windows. Bottom half has detachable sterling silver cup. Inspired the works of Iizuka Rokansai, this open weave basket with richly toned dark red-brown split bamboo has a slightly tapering cylindrical body with an offset loop handle at the top. Signed with an incised signature on the bottom. Comes with a bamboo water container. Dates late 20th century. Measures 8” high including handle, 4.74” diameter. This basket had a very nice sheen to it that is not being captured by the photos. You will be pleased.

21124690 A kangaroo cocktail glass from the Libbey Nash Silhouette series of 1933 with an opalescent stem. The Silhouette series wine glass is illustrated on page 15B of the Libbey-Nash Series 1933 catalog as shown in Fauster on page 330. These were listed in the catalog as available with either black or opalescent stems, although others can be found in clear or frosted colorless glass. The 6 inch tall cocktail glass is signed and perfect.
