17114428 A scarce gold Favrile underplate for a cordial. The 3 inch diameter plate has a polished pontil and is signed “LCT G1478" by the polished pontil. The rim of the plate exhibits a very nice onion skin pattern. Under plates such as this are shown in a page from the 1902 Tiffany Studios booklet. A copy of this page can be found on page 54 of Robert Koch’s “Louis C. Tiffany’s Glass-Bronzes-Lamps.”

English Aynsley Bone China Dinner Plate, fluted edge with multi floral decoration, marked "Aynsley, England, fine English Bone China" in green on the bottom. The condition is good.

German Rosenthal Porcelain Serving Bowl with 2 handles, 9" x 10" wide, 2 1/8" high, with large hand painted gold floral decoration in the center in the cobalt blue background, and fluted rim is also decorated in brilliant gold. Unique Chinese carved rock crystal double carp snuff bottle. This snuff bottle features two carps reaching upwards against a sea wave base. The smaller carp with it's mouth open and the larger carp with a rock crystal stopper in it's mouth. The double carp is a symbol in Chinese mythology for a happy union in marriage.

This piece was sold by the retailer “Carbone” of Boston, who handled European imports from about 1910 to 1920. It measures 16 inches high, 9 1/2 inches wide, and 8 inches deep. It is well modeled and hand painted. The garments on the Madonna have colorful detail. There is a feel of serenity and ancient Mediterranean tradition in the piece...

DESCRIPTION: A good country wood game board in original paint with alternating hand painted black and metallic silver/gold squares outlined in red pin stripes. Abrasions to area in center of board; sturdy construction. DIMENSIONS: 15.75” square x 7/8” thick.

He is sometimes called the Japanese Picasso because of his prolific multi media creative work. He was part of the sasuka-hanga movement and the mingei, folk art, movement. He is from the northern region of Aomori and incorporated many of those local themes into his art...

Chinese Porcelain Sang de boeuf, Iron Red puppy dog with Celadon glaze, Ca. 1930's, 3 1/4" high, 4" wide x 1 3/4" deep, with curled tail and bell in front of the neck. Underglaze Ox blood and celadon glaze and bottom is unglazed. The condition is good, no damages.

DESCRIPTION: An antique hand-painted ceremonial drum with vivid motifs of large flowers with curling green tendrils against a red ground. Both ends of the drum are covered in animal hide and secured with round-headed metal studs. This highly decorative drum makes a perfect little end table, or adds a touch of exotic to any décor. Very good condition with minor rubbing in spots. DIMENSIONS: 16 5/8” high (42.2 cm) x 15 5/8” diameter (39.6 cm).
