A Webb hand blown amber glass decanter & 8 glasses. This 1930s-50s hand blown amber art glass decanter and eight matching glasses is by Webb of England. The 10" decanter, stopper and the four 3-1/4" and four 4-3/4" glasses all have knobby glass protrusions and the decanter is acid stamped WEBB ENGLAND. This set is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, losses, damage or repairs...

Lovely white overlay glass lamp base with enameled floral decoration. Gilding accents the edges of the cut facets. The opaque white overlay is beautifully decorated with swags of roses. The top of the lamp is finished with a nicely engraved collar that connects to the electrical hardware. The lamp has been fairly recently rewired.

Origin: Bohemia, circa 1910. Condition: excellent, no chips or cracks. Size: 10-1/4” tall (not including electrical socket); 5-13/16” diameter at base.

A finely done Japanese bamboo basket used as a flower container made by the second Shochikusai. The handle is done in a way as if the vine appears to grow out from the basket and fine strips of bamboo are woven throughout the vase. Fine woven bamboo baskets require the highest skills to create the rhythmic geometric patterns and form. Age: Showa Period Size: length 10" width 6.5" height 18.75"

Two flapper dress tricot scarves, one yellow and rust (a), the other in shades of brown, blue-grey and yellow (b). Both made of atificial silk and from the Charleston era, 1920’s. Length (b) "79 / 200 cm and "66 / 168 cm. Condition: fine.

This really pretty pair of ice blue Paneled Grape 4 1/2 inch high Salt and Pepper Shakers were made by Westmoreland Glass. The shakers have the original chrome lids on. A 2 section Japanese Isho Biraki Kamo Tansu made of Kiri (Paulownia) wood. All original bronze hardware. Constructed using high quality Kiri wood from the Aizu snow country region of Japan known for their slow growth and dense grain. Upper section features 2 hinged doors behind which are 7 Kimono trays and three small side by side drawers. A secret interior wood latch locks the left and right drawers from opening while the left drawer has a secret drawer accessible from the back...

Pair of large Chinese porcelain blue and white beaker vases in the Kangxi style. Each is decorated all around in under-glaze blue lotus blooms and flowering prunus on a white ground. The inside of each is glazed white. The base glazed the same with a double circle in under-glaze blue. These vases are quite large and heavy.

Biwa are indegenous to SE China, and the Japanese name may refer to the oblong shape of mature fruit that resembles the shape of the musical instrument, lute (also "biwa" in Japanese.) In olden days, a type of cough medication was made from the syrup of the fruit...
