Large peach-shaped bowl decorated on in- and outside with a bold Rinpa design of flowering red, white and blue camellias and leaves. Over a cream-colored coarse stoneware a thin layer of cream-colored slip has been applied, on top of which overglaze blue, black, green, red, white enamels and gold.

On the outside in a white rectangular reserve with black outlines the signature Kenzan. Japan, 1950s.

In the style of Ogata Kenzan or Ogata Kenzan studio.

Striking, tall, double sommerso vase form by Fratelli Toso. Interior gather of soft gold toned transparent glass emerges in sommerso from a heavy green lip, cased in crystal. The form is blown into a rib mold with green canne applied at the high points of the ribs. This vase is a fine example of mid-century innovation of traditional techniques. Measuring 6.75" (top dimension) x 12" tall, the vase is in good condition, bears the J.I. CO. import label, unmarked.

RARE Murano Cased CRANBERRY PINK IRIDESCENT Art Glass DOUBLE GOURD Shaped Bowl or Ashtray!!! Attributed to Fratelli TOSO, with 2 labels underneath!!! I have only seen this shaped bowl 3 times in all the years I have been collecting, and been fortunate to buy 2 of them! (see the 1 in Green also listed stock # 3425). Could be used as a candy dish too. Has an iridescent or aurene surface. There is NO damage (chips, nicks or fleabites)...

A light Celadon jade pendant depicting the Guanyin (Avalokiteśvara) standing on the sea waves. Mid-20th century. Condition: light brown inclusions; very tiny flakes on the edge; and two short (1/4" to 3/8") cracks on the top edge. Please see photos for details. Length: 4".

This is a really pretty crystal clear Cape Cod Oval Lipped serving or vegetable bowl made by Imperial Glass. The sophisticated designer arrangement of murrine in this paperweight is notable. The leaf murrine can be found in other Toso paperweights. The green center of the flower murrine is nicely tied in to the leaf motif. The murrine are cased in crystal and this lattice type layer of murrine gives the weight a nice airy quality. Measuring 3.75 dia. x 2.75"h., the paperweight is in excellent condition, unmarked.

Duncan & Miller Heart Shaped Nappy, 7" is in mint condition. The Sandwich pattern was made from 1924 to 1955.
