Signed Oinishi Rakusai V Akahada flower vase. In original signed paulownia wood box. B.1910 this vase was one of his early pieces in C.1950. From an illustrious Nara pottery family famed for Akahada ware.

This large basket is quite the find. It has an over-sized twist handle of crystal clear glass. The rim is surrounded by gradated colors - almost like a stain of cranberry red. The body is heavy (4 lbs.) and is clear the shines yellow-green under black light. The bottom shows a finished pontil. All-in-all this lovely glass basket stands ( 1/2" tall to the top of the handle and 10" long. It is in excellent condition. I have other interesting and elegant glassware in my inventory .....

Pre columbian style Black Pottery Necklace with figures. The necklace came from a Geologist's estate of ancient necklaces from various central American cultures , this one we do not know age or origin. 12 figures with 8 disc pendants . approx 22" great piece to part out and make other jewelry with.

DESCRIPTION: An appealing green nephrite disk or bi, carved with two chilong dragons whose heads and bodies ring the edges with their limbs draping down on either side. From a mid-west collection, the design, color and form are quite pleasing and could be used as a toggle or an eye-catching pendant when incorporated into a necklace. This pretty pink Windsor, aka Diamond, depression glass 4 1/2 inch Berry or Fruit Bowl was made by Jeannette Glass from 1932 to 1946. This lovely candlestick features Hiesey's very popular upside-down Orchids and bows. The Orchid pattern was produced between 1940 and 1957, and this one still bears its foil Heisey label. The taper will fit in the deep hole of the flared and knobbed candle holder. It measures 4 3/4" across the foot and stands 3 3/4" high. This lovely is in excellent, unused condition. Insurance and confirmation are included in the price.

Measuring 5 1/4" across & weighing 156 grams this 940 sterling silver dish was designed by Taxco, Mexico designer Hector Aguilar. The dish is centered with a 1951 coin with a HIDALGO profile. The reverse side of the coin features an eagle fighting a serpent. This candy dish is pictured on p. 67 of SILVER MASTERS OF MEXICO by Penny Morrill. HA, 940, TAXCO, & TALLER BORDA and eagle 9 hallmarks are found on the underside rim of the dish.

Republic period mottled pale green jade Chinese small sword or dagger nicely carved with a great surface sheen and patina. A chilong is carved on each side of the guard between the handle and blade. Janus-shaped helmet mask, the two back-to-back faces of a similar expression, surmounted by a semi circular flat coiffe. Wood, with glossy age patina. Africa, Nigeria, Idoma Peoples. Height: 14" (35 cm). Old insect infestations (no danger), small accidents and chips, otherwise very good condition.

DESCRIPTION: A Mexican carved wood sculpture of an indigenous female, used as a processional “pole puppet” during Mexican festivals. The polychrome decorated figure has articulated arms and legs and a hole running through the waist through which a pole or dowel would be inserted. The pole, when mounted with several puppets, would be used in festival processions, with the bouncing of the pole animating the movements of the figures...

DESCRIPTION: A Chinese pendant with coral colored stone mounted as a brooch in high relief with a scholar standing under a twisting pine in a mountain setting. The rectangular gilt frame is cast as four bamboo stalks and has a sturdy open “mesh” backing fitted with a stick pin and gold loop so that it can be worn as a brooch or necklace. Very fine work overall with no tarnish anywhere to the gilt frame. DIMENSIONS: 2 3/8” long (6 cm) x 1 7/8” wide (4.8 cm).
