Made by a women of the Miao minority often referred to as the "tiny Miao" ...not because of their stature but because they were recongnize for their "tiny" embroidery stitches... A Chinese landscape painting done on a gold paper base done in the style of Zhang Da Qian. The work contains a signature and seal of Zhang Da Qian's noted disciple Sun Yunsheng (1918-2000). Zhang Da Qian established a style influenced from traditional Chinese landscape paintings combined with Song Dynasty style ink wash landscapes. Work is dated in June of 1975. Japanese scroll painted with ink and colors on silk depicting a spotted stag by a stream among reeds under a moon about to be obscured by clouds. Great composition with alert beast looking into the background hidden in beautifully depicted mist. Wonderful quality realistic painting, superb brushwork - see the detailing of hairs on its coat. Paper and silk mounts, wooden scroll ends. Signed GANEN and marked with red paste seal. Scroll size 68x19 inches, painting size 40x16 inches.

Sigi is short for Sigfredo Pineda, who set up his own workshop in the 1950's and is still producing modernist jewelry. He apprenticed under Castillo, not William Spratling as he was born somewhat later, in 1929. He is the sole surviving member of the Taxco silversmith artist colony startedby William Spratling in the 30's and 40's. We love the clean and modern design of these wonderful coiled cufflinks...

Beautiful hand painted Fukagawa Vase from Arita, Japan. It has a landscape of rural scenary of Japan on a matte finish. Fukagawa company is well known for translucent white porcelain. The under glazed blue signature at the bottom reads "made by Fukagawa" and there is an artist's signature on the lower half of the vase. Mint condition, circa mid 1900, 9 1/4" in diameter and 6 3/4" tall.

This is a really nice depression glass green Floral, aka Poinsettia, 9 inch Oval Serving Bowl made by Jeannette Glass from 1931 to 1935. This Bowl is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or scratches. There is very slight 1 inch roughness on the inner rim was done in the making. Chinese pair of jade cylinders carved with dragons. Each cylinder is made of green and white mottled jade. The dragons float in the sky surrounds by fire, mist and lingzhi shaped cloud forms.

This really pretty 6 1/4 inch high pink frosted mist footed Candy Dish with Lid was made by Westmoreland Glass. The original Westmoreland Glass label is still attached to the side of the candy dish. This Candy Dish is hand painted with the Daisy pattern. It measures 5 1/4 inches in diameter across the widest part of the candy dish. Both the bottom and lid are in very good condition with no chips or cracks. The hand painted decoration is all very good...

Two(2) pieces Chinese carved Jade Hardstone Plaques, 7 1/8" long, 1 1/8" high in the center, 3/4" high in the ends, 1/8" thick, there are some small rough spots on the edges. These pieces are made for some art object but never used them.
