Abstract print by well-known Japanese print artist Masao Ohba (born 1928). He won first prize in 1998 at the 17th Biennale of Contemporary Ex Libris in Malbork, Poland. His work is colorful with interesting textures. This particular print almost appears to be an abstract take on the Japanese flag, with interesting shapes and flecking of red, yellow, and blue peeking through black sections. circa 1950s, signed and marked "87/150"

A French Art Deco cocktail pick set in the unusual form of a large snail accompanied by a pair of baby snails. The snail is usually alone or perhaps with just one smaller one. They are worked in chrome and are set on a mahogany base. The design is by the famed French Art Deco illustrator Benjamin Rabier, who had a side gig designing entertaining barware. Beautiful hand crafted glass beads and stunning clasp! Large and tiny turquoise-blue beads have been combined by deLillo with opalescent beads and tiny rhinestones. Beads are of the highest quality and each bead has been hand set. Designed by Robert Clark, former Chief Designer for Miriam Haskell, for the House of deLillo. Of quatrelobed form with a central vertical panel on each side. One side is marked "zhai jie", the other in Manchu script. Bordered with a dense design of stylised lotus on a light green ground within raised gilt borders. The sides painted with scrolling foliage on a white ground with a bottom hole for a string of beads.

Japanese glass ojime in a form of tombodama bead of flattened ball shape with inlays of a butterfly and cherry flowers. Tombodama can be translated as “dragonfly ball” and the name is thought to come about because when the molten glass is applied to the core bead it resembles a dragonfly’s eye. Superbly made piece, in perfect condition. Diameter 0.78 inches.

A small round cloisonne box featuring a flower arrangement against a background of intricate key fret design. Gold gilt still intact. In excellent condition, it measures 2.25" diameter x .75" high. Early 20th Century
A pair of English sterling silver 2-3/8" candlesticks hallmarked Birmingham, England 1969. These small yet elegant candle holders are traditional in shape and they have felted bottoms. They have the maker's mark S.J.R (probably S.J. Rose, Birmingham (1887-) and they have never been monogrammed or initialled. They are in excellent condition with no dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs...
A nice set of sterling silver cocktail picks, the tops decorated with colorful enameled roosters. The use of the rooster (“cock”) motif in Art Deco barware was a play on the word “cocktail”. Each pick has a hook on the back of the rooster so that it can hang from the edge of the glass. Each is fully hallmarked for Birmingham, 1927. The picks are presented in their original fitted case embossed Abercrombie & Fitch.

Beautiful cased vase by Pallme-Konig und Habel, showing their excellent use of the casing technique! The vase is four layers of glass; orange, white, clear, then the decorative layer of textured red glass. The vase was then covered with irregular applied trailed decoration in black, which has been worked into the surface. The entire surface has been strongly iridized. The first photograph (white background) best shows the true color of the piece and the intensity of color...
French Pink and Raspberry color mottled Marble and Ormolu Dore Bronze Desk Set, 6 1/4" high, 10 3/8" wide, 6 1/2" deep, with two(2) inkwell without inserts, removable large Heron shape seal in the center and horizontal long well for pen in front, resting on four(4) bronze bun shape feet. The condition is good except tiny frits around the corners, marble is heavy and Ormolu is in good condition.
Rare jacket back panel from the remote Miao Jiupang group from Jiahe County, Guizhou province (see last enlargement), with purple embroidered pattern between the spaces in the tin decoration. This style of decoration is unique to this group and very difficult to make, as every tiny bit of tin has to be individually cut and crimped. Recently acquired from a private Hong Kong collector, these are the first examples I have send of these I have seen in the past 15 years...
This is a lovely set of Cohr 4 blue wax candles and 2 silver plate holders. The set is complete in its original box and has never been used. The candlestick holders have a neat, mod design. They measure 3 3/4" (and are concave) x 2 1/8" x 3/4". They have very good heft, weighing 5 ounces. They are marked Cohr with the Cohr maker's mark and DENMARK. The set is in excellent condition! The box is not in excellent condition (see pictures).
