A circa 1920's wood cut out picture, "Jack and Jill", 14" by 22" including frame, said to be "...a kit that had to be put together and then painted 'sometime in the 1920's", according to a small paper strip on backing. The work would add some accent to a child's room or nursery. I think it complete as it stands but cannot explain the central portion which seems to depict houses or rooftops...

This porcelain covered box was produced in Hungary by Herend between 1950 and 1970. It has an artist’s signature on the bottom. The diameter of the box is 4 1/2 inches and it is 3 3/4 inches high. The box stands on three scrolled feet. It is made of fine, white hard paste porcelain with a high glaze finish. The painting on the lid and sides are delightful. There are fruits, vegetables and flowers hand painted with brightly colored enamels...

This really pretty crystal elegant glass Prelude 6 inch high X 5 1/4 inch diameter Swan bowl was made by New Martinsville Glass from 1936 to 1939. The Swan has a Sterling base. The base is signed Sterling - see picture. It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or scratches. The sterling base does need cleaned, but it is in very good condition. George V sterling silver picture frame. Made by Ernest Wilfred Sanders & Henry Arthur Mackenzie in Birmingham in 1933. Rectangular window with curvilinear upper corners in plain and flat rectangular surround with wide lower rail. With glass, silk lining, and stained wood back and hinged easel support. Fully marked. Very good condition.

A vintage silk purse with mirrors ("shisha"), embroidered in whorl designs in silk thread on a dark purple silk background. A neat example of the couching technique favored by the Pashtuns, where the metal threads form a neat grid of lines and then fastened down with staggered stitches. This purse is from Katawaz (Ghazni province) in Afghanistan. Condition: Excellent. This purse measures 13.5 x 16.5 cm and is decorated with blue turquoise beads along the edges.

Old Colony is the correct name for the pattern that collectors have always called 'Lace Edge'. It was produced by Hocking from 1935 to 1938. Offered here is the candy jar & cover in pink. Excellent condition with no chips or damage. See my other listings for more in this pattern.

A vintage mid century modernist dish by William Spratling with four Rosewood feet.

Measures 1 1/8" high and 3 5/8" across. Marked with the conjoined Script 'WS' and Eagle #63. These were the marks used between 1965-67. In good condition, has some tarnish and very minor dings to the body that can mostly be seen from the underside. There are some minor crimps to some of the edges. The wood feet are in very nice condition.
